SATELLITE 2016

In partnership with Future Space Leaders Foundation (FSLF) and SATELLITE 2016, SGAC will host it’s first technology focused event, SGx. SGx will bring together young professionals , experts in the industry and government leaders to discuss pressing issues and innovative ideas in a brand new way. The aim of SGx is to engage and intrigue the audience with fast-paced lightning talks that focus on  story-telling rather than business pitches in order to communicate about technology that matters most in the satellite industry.

 

When: Monday, March 7 from 9:00 a.m to 4:30 p.m.

Speed Mentoring


For the 3rd year, SGAC will also host the mentorship program for SGAC members. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with top leaders in satellite, learn from industry veterans and inquire about the future of the global marketplace. Following the mentoring program, all SGAC members are invited to SATELLITE 2016’s Awards Celebration and Reception at 6:00 p.m.

When: Wednesday, March 9 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Where:  Gaylord National Convention Center in National Harbor, MD, Washington DC

SGAC/SATELLITE 2016 Competition


SATELLITE 2016 and SGAC are granting 30 complimentary conference passes to promising members through an essay competition. SGAC members will have until Friday March 4th, 2016 to submit a video that addresses the future of the satellite industry. From these essays, 30 winners will be selected as recipients of the complimentary conference passes. For more information on this program, please visit SGAC’s website here.

SGAC SATELLITE 2016 Mentoring Event

The SGAC Speed Mentoring Event is a great chance that kick-start connections that build over time, create chance meetings and the to meet with students, early stage professionals, experienced mentors and even possibly a future employer in the satellite industry.

Share a table with top company representatives to ask questions, seek advice, and learn more about  their personal experiences which shaped their professional careers.

This event is energizing for both the young space professionals as well as the senior mentors, providing both groups with a unique networking opportunity.

Immediately following the Mentoring Event, all the participants will be invited to the SATELLITE 2016 Awards Celebration and Reception, from 6 to 8pm, where they will be able to network with the rest of the conference participants. All participants to the Mentoring Event will have access to the Exhibition Area, where they will be able to visit all the booths of the main industry and organisations on the sector, one of the biggest of this kind.
