The Space Generation Advisory Council is a global non-governmental, non-profit (US 501(c)3) organisation and network which aims to represent university students and young space professionals to the United Nations, space agencies, industry, and academia.

SGAC and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University are pleased to announce the winners of the joint Embry-Riddle scholarship for 2017. The competition enables two outstanding SGAC members to attend the 16th Space Generation Congress and the 68th International Astronautical Congress in Adelaide, Australia.

Embry-Riddle is an independent, nonsectarian, not-for-profit, coeducational university. The University serves culturally diverse students seeking careers in aviation, aerospace, engineering, and related fields. Residential campuses in Daytona Beach, Fla., and Prescott, Ariz., provide education in a traditional setting, while the Worldwide Campus provides instruction through a globally recognized learning system that leverages online and face-to-face methods and a network of education facilities designed to support student advancement in the U.S. and abroad.

Jaclyn Wiley (United States)


IMG_8378.JPGJaclyn Wiley is a student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University pursuing her Bachelors of Science in Spaceflight Operations. She worked with the National Aviation and Space Administration (NASA) Hubble Space Telescope project group at Goddard Spaceflight Center as a Scientific Communications Intern. Her love of space can be found in her works as former Editor-in-Chief of Embry-Riddle's official student publication, The Avion Newspaper.

Olivia Kirk (United States)

Olivia Kirk is a junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Commercial Space Operations with minors in Human Factors and Space Studies from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. Along with scholarly activities, Olivia is a sister of Theta Phi Alpha Fraternity and a correspondent to the Avion Newspaper.
