SGAC membership has been steadily growing throughout the years. Among our membership there are many incredible young space enthusiasts who should be recognised for their hard work and contributions to SGAC. In December 2009, the SGAC Executive Council decided to acknowledge one member per month for his or her outstanding work and contributions to SGAC and its goals, and we continued this until today.

Alejandro Cordova Lopez, NPoC Mexico, nominated Carmen:
“Carmen's efforts in the last four years have helped this organization grow. Also, she instructed me pretty well when I was starting my duties as the new NPoC for Mexico. I do think that Carmen is a t strong young professional in the space community and has demonstrated her capabilities with her activities as part of SGAC.”
Here's Carmen's reaction:
"Thanks for this recognition, I feel honored to be acknowledged among SGAC members. SGAC is a very special group for me, it has been always an inspiration and a way to inspire young students in my home country. I love to work with so many brilliant people from all around the world, this is always teamwork, and I am looking forward to keep doing awesome things inside SGAC."
From the SGAC co-Chair, Stephanie Wan:
