The Space Generation Advisory Council’s Youth for Global Navigation Satellite Systems (YGNSS) and the Space Technologies for Disaster Management (STDM) Project Group are proud to announce The Role of GNSS and Earth Observation in  Disaster Management”. The workshop will be held after the 12th Space Generation Congress (19-21 September) and prior to the 64th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) (23-27 September).

The event offers 50 top students and young professionals the opportunity to meet and exchange views with leaders of the space sector from government, industry, and academia on how GNSS and Remote Sensing technologies is used in disaster management. This opportunity will include background presentations, panel discussions, and hands-on training provided by high-level experts from local, international, and multilateral organisations for an international student and young professional audience between the ages of 18-35.

The workshop will also allow these top delegates to explore this key topic, get some interactive hands on experience using key tools, and network with other professionals as well as with GNSS experts, who will be speaking on different agenda topics.
