Young Space Activities in Tunisia

The space activities in Tunisia are mainly related with some universities and the Tunisian Space Agency that represents the next Tunisian space generation. Tunisian Space Agency is a scientific association in Tunisia created in June 2012 to promote the aerospace field in Tunisia.

Tunisian Space Agency events offers a unique opportunity to meet, discuss relevant space topics, and enables the young generation to participate in space activity. In the last years, many space projects were done by students: mini rockets and cubesat. They design, build, expose and launch their projects. Many of them were successful. Among these projects, we have:

Almaz 01, which is a mini rocket made by a future engineer Elyes Mehri
Star01 is also another mini rocket made by a mechanical engineer Oussama Filali, in ENIT (National Institute of Engineering of Tunis)
Taparoura 01 is a mini rocket created by Houssem Ghariani, Mechanical engineer from ESPRIT (Private Graduate School of Engineering and Technology)
Carthage Sat 01 is a Tunisian picosatellite , it is the graduation project of the president of Tunisian Space Agency : Karim Hamid

Many sponsors are getting involved to enhance space activities: universities, companies, media like: Ministry of Women and Family Affairs, ESPRIT, ENIT, AirLiquid, , Kaspersky Lab, Altmutawaset, Office of Civil Aviation and Airports.
