SGx

Bolivia's major National event of this year, SG[Bolivia], has the primary objective of promoting space activities among students and young professionals interested in science and space.

During this event we plan a  visit to the ground station of Amachuma. This ground station serves for controlling and monitoring the Bolivian telecommunication satellite called Tupac Katari. In this visit, students will have the opportunity to closely observe the work that takes place in this ground station. The event is intended as a prelude to the Aerospace Bolivian Conference (ABC). The ABC will be held in the city of La Paz between 27 and 29 July 2016.

The participants for SG[Bolivia] will be selected based on an abstract competition.

What is SGx?

In partnership with Future Space Leaders Foundation (FSLF) and SATELLITE 2016, SGAC will host it’s first technology focused event, SGx. SGx will bring together young professionals , experts in the industry and government leaders to discuss pressing issues and innovative ideas in a brand new way. The aim of SGx is to engage and intrigue the audience with fast-paced lightning talks that focus on  story-telling rather than business pitches in order to communicate about technology that matters most in the satellite industry.
