SGC 2004, Vancouver
Space Generation Congress 2004
We are working on this page to offer you a glimpse into our past.
Do you have what it takes to be an explorer?
The frontiers of space are opening up, and there has never been a better time to get involved. At the Space Generation Congress you will be able to meet other space pioneers, and together forge a vision for the future of space exploration. Not just a vision for future generations, but a vision for your generation - a future where you play a key part. The Space Generation Congress is not just a seven day event, it is the beginning of your journey to space!
What is SGC?
The Space Generation Congress (SGC) is a meeting of approximately 200 international young delegates to implement the vision of young people on the future utilization and exploration of space. Delegates at SGC Vancouver will not only discover new, challenging opportunities in the arena of space, but also develop a world wide network to immediately act on these ideas, bringing to reality the future of living and working in Space.
SGC Vancouver takes place over the period 1-8 October 2004 in conjunction with the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) and builds on the work of the Space Generation Summit (SGS) held as part of the World Space Summit in Houston in 2002, and the Space Generation Congress (SGC) held in Bremen in 2003. SGC will enable working groups to meet in person to work on their respective projects, and present their work to their colleagues and the international space community gathered at IAC. Click here for more information on IAC.
This event is organised by the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) in support of the United Nations Programme on Space Applications - the body through which students' and young professionals' views are represented to the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UN COPUOS).
