“$pace is Business!”
What “$pace is Business!” is about
The “$pace is Business!” paper competition is a project jointly organized by the International Astronautical Federation’s (IAF) Entrepreneurship and Investment Committee (EIC) and the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC). The first competition was held in 2012 and the project goes in its second round in 2013. It aims at drawing the attention of students and young professionals to the challenging topics associated with entrepreneurship and investment in the space sector and exposing them to the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) and Space Generation Congress (SGC) as forums for discussion and involvement in the space sector. The competition therefore challenges students and young professionals worldwide to develop new ideas and perspectives on opportunities and challenges facing space entrepreneurs and investors today. This is accomplished through paper submissions addressing and engaging themes of interest to the Entrepreneurship and Investment Committee of the International Astronautical Federation. The main author of the winning paper will receive an award of USD 2500 in order to attend and give a presentation at the Space Generation Congress 2013 and the International Astronautical Congress 2013 in Beijing, China.
What we need
While the “$pace is Business!” paper competition is administered by the IAF-EIC and SGAC, it is reliant on contributions from individuals and institutions to facilitate the award.
