The First African Space Generation Workshop (1st AF-SGW) will be held at the Federal University of Technology, Akure Campus by November 16-17, 2017. We are grateful to the Centre for Space Research and Applications for its kind support hosting the Event.

ABOUT AKURE CITY

Akure

Akure is a city in south-western Nigeria, and is the largest city and capital of Ondo State. The city has a population of over 550,000. Rock engravings dating back to the Mesolithic period, have been discovered on the outskirts of Akure. Also the oldest Homo sapiens fossil ever found in West Africa thus far was discovered there, dating back to around 11,000 years ago
