Welcome to the SGAC Zimbabwe page! Space is still perceived as being not remarkable in most parts of Africa and the developing countries around the world. With far more pressing issues at the moment such as poverty, climate change and political unrest, Zimbabwe is still very far from getting a key position in the space industry. Yet there is one thing our leaders failed in realising: space can offer solutions to our current problems. In Zimbabwe, only the young generation see the potential and benefits of a national space industry, and thus awareness to space related subjects is growing gradually. Young Space Activities Overview in Zimbabwe

Since Zimbabwe is not yet actively involved in space activities, our resources are still very limited. The plan would be to partner with some local youth groups to be able to realise some projects. It will give a platform to meet with fellow young people in Zimbabwe and to discuss the benefits of space technologies in meeting current energy challenges and the global climate change.

SGAC is here to act as a hub for young professionals and advanced students interested in space. Networking through our website and participating in the SGAC projects are great ways of staying connected to the space community worldwide.
