ASTRO 2008
Date and Time
Description
How can we harness space to address the issues that we face here on Earth? ASTRO 2008 will serve as a forum to discuss opportunities and innovation in space. The conference will be the venue for exploring these topics and their many aspects: government, programmatic, technological, scientific, military and financial/commercial.
ASTRO 2008 is the 14th in the series of Astronautics conferences that the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute holds every two years. The goal of these conferences is to provide a forum where delegates from industry, government, defence and security, and academic organizations working in space-related fields can network and exchange ideas about the role space has in meeting the challenges of today and tomorrow.
The Chairs of ASTRO 2008 are Bjarni Tryggvason, Astronaut, STS-85 (Canadian Space Agency) and Ron Buckingham (Northeast Space Co.).
