as a union member in the united states
i found that as you achieve journeymen status in a trade
you actually have the equivelent of an associates degree
in the future as we grow and space transportation becomes more availible, there will be many in nations that would want to go to space
as it is now, you need a bachelers degree to go to the international space university
could we work with the unions around the world to try to get a bachelers degree program for unions
then more could attend the university
for most families in the world you have to work to eat
so college is sometimes harder to get to
but in a union setting you "earn while you learn"
so to speak
plus most of the trade unions are direcrly related to neccecities for any colony (save carpenters)

send me some ideas
