Sponsorship FAQs

SGAC is cool! I'll give you some money. But what will it be used for?

The money will be used for the continued operation and improvement of SGAC projects. This includes bandwidth, staff, events like the Space Generation Congress, and other expenses. A successful fundraiser will mean both being able to continue and expand what we are currently doing, and to have a secure financial base for the future.

For more information, please read "how we will use the money.". You can also see how we've been using money in the past here.

Why does SGAC need my help?

The Space Generation Advisory Council is a not-for-profit organization. It is sustained by its members: by people like you.

What forms of donations do you accept?

We accept donations by PayPal, cheque, or bank transfer, in any of the currencies these systems accept. Please see our fundraising page for more information. To ask about making other types of gifts, contact info@spacegeneration.org.

Can I donate from anywhere in the world?

To our knowledge, yes! PayPal services only these countries; We also welcome checks and direct bank transfers.

Where can I view detailed information about the progress of fundraising?

We maintain a complete listing of contributions for both the current and previous fundraisers.

Can I make a donation in someone else's name, and have a notification sent automatically?

Right now the best way to do something like this is to include a comment in the Paypal box on the donations page.

Is sponsorship to the SGC tax-deductible?

It depends what country you are in. In the United States, The SGAC is a registered not for profit organization under Form 501(c)(3) and is fully tax deductible.

I have a question that isn't answered here. What should I do?

If there is a technical problem with your donation, or if there is a question not answered on the Fundraising pages, you may send your questions to info@spacegeneration.org.
