SGAC SATELLITE 2015 Scholarships for Young Professionals and Students

The world's premier event in satellite communication, SATELLITE 2015, will take place over the 16-19 March 2015, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington DC, USA, and SGAC invites its members to join senior industry representatives in the communications satellite sector at this great event.

Bringing a new cadre of young professionals and students to this event is a priority for the organisers, and SGAC has partnered once again with SATELLITE 2015  to make sure our members get the best of this unique experience. SGAC is supporting SATLELLITE 2015 with two initiatives – a speed mentoring event for young professionals, and opportunities to win full fee scholarships to the entire conference.


SGAC SATELLITE 2015 Scholarships

The SATELLITE 2015 and SGAC are offering 30 complimentary passes to the SATELLITE 2015 conference (each ticket worth $2,579), which will include full access to the conference from Monday 16th to Thursday 19th March, 2015, as well as access to the SGAC Mentoring Event on the 18th March.


How to apply for the grant?

Send an e-mail to SGAC Intern, Jacob Hacker (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) which includes:

  • - Copy of your CV 
  • - SGAC Username - Remember you must be between 18 and 35 years old to be an SGAC member
  •   Becoming a member is very easy and for free! Register here
  • - 500 word essay on "Addressing the future challenges of satellite industry"
  • - Letter of recommendation from a senior space community figure or organisation leader

Only complete applications sent before the 13 March 2015  will be considered.

NOTE: SGAC is NOT providing any other funding to cover accommodation or travel expenses for this event.
