Inter - Islamic Network on Space Sciences and Technology (ISNET) is an inter - state, non political and non profit making agency. It is an independent, autonomous and self governing institution under the umbrella of the OIC (Organisation of Islamic Conference) Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH). SUPARCO is the host organisation of ISNET.

The Pakistan Space Agency or Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) is the Pakistani government space agency responsible for Pakistan's space program. It was formed in September 1961 by the order of President Ayub Khan. SUPARCO is an autonomous research and development organization under the Government of Pakistan. The headquarters of SUPARCO is located in Islamabad, however with the development of Sonmiani it is expected that the new headquarters will be moved in the near future. The agency also has offices in Lahore and at Karachi (an engineering installation).

Objectives
The Faculty of Basic & Applied Sciences is concentrating on the specialized training of manpower in areas of computer science, computer engineering, telecommunication, and other emerging technologies of applied sciences. In order to properly entertain each discipline, the faulty is divided into several departments each producing professional expertise in a specialized domain.
