Kat has always been interested in space and aviation. After receiving her BS in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering in December 2006, she accepted a job in Houston, TX with Lockheed Martin, working on the Orion Crew Exploration Vehicle. When not working, Kat enjoys fencing and flying and hopes to start on her instrument rating sometime in the fall.
