Bio

I currently work as a technical lead in the Environmental Restoration program of National Security Technologies, LLC in Mercury, Nevada, USA. My research emphasis concerns planetary science/geology, and past research projects include a field drilling and borehole investigation of a temperate Alaskan glacier (Bench Glacier Project), a field and laboratory study of naturally supercooling streams and frazil-ice sediment transport (Anchor Ice), and field studies of sediment lofting and migration by thermal vortices ("dust devils") as it relates to terrestrial contaminant migration and Martian atmospheric dynamics.

I'm a hands-on scientist who prefers to tackle process problems by finding physical analogues and getting my hands (and equipment) dirty, and my goal is to be amongst those who are physically qualified to conduct intellectually-demanding field science in remote locations when it comes time to go back to the Moon and venture to Mars.
