The Space Generation Fusion Forum 2015 will be held at the Cheyenne Lodge of the Broadmoor Hotel. The Broadmoor Hotel is the longest-running consecutive winner of both the AAA Five-Diamond and the Mobil Travel Guide Five-Star awards. The resort is located on 3,000 lush acres under the shadow of Cheyenne Mountain and offers an award-winning spa, fitness center, two swimming pools, three outdoor hot tubs, one lap pool; 54 holes of championship golf, six tennis courts; children's programmes; 24-hour room service, and 25 specialty retail shops.

All Space Generation Fusion Forum delegates are required to make their own hotel arrangements in Colorado for the Forum. However, SGAC has arranged a very special rate at the Comfort Inn South in Colorado Springs. The special booking code will be provided to those who are accepted to attend the Fusion Forum. Room rates include complementary breakfast and internet; free transportation will be provided between the Comfort Inn and the Fusion Forum venue.

The applications for the Space Generation Fusion Forum will open on 5 February and close on 04 April 2015. The Space Generation Fusion Forum will have no more than 50 people, so only the most motivated and highly qualified applicants are selected. All selected delegates will be informed about their participation in a timely manner. To apply, you must have a membership account with SGAC. Don't have one? Admission to the Fusion Forum will be rolling. The sooner you apply, the sooner you could be selected.

The dress code for the Fusion Forum is business casual. For those attending the National Space Symposium, formal business clothing is mostly expected.

The Space Generation Fusion Forum and the Space Symposium are two separate events. If you wish to attend the Space Symposium, we encourage you to do so as a Space Generation Fusion Forum member at a significantly discounted registration rate of $500! This includes access to the general programme events, and all the New Generation Space Leaders Programme. If you wish to attend the Space Technology Hall of Fame Dinner, you can buy your ticket for $525.

About the Fusion Forum
The fourth edition of the Space Generation Fusion Forum will be held in 2015, it has become an annual forum that brings together top young minds from the United States and from around world to focus on key space topics. The Forum will take place in conjunction with the Space Symposium, and this year will be April 12 & 13, in Colorado Springs, USA at the Broadmoor Hotel.
The Space Generation Fusion Forum offers the next generation of space sector leaders from government, industry, and academia the opportunity to come together to exchange views on current, hot space topics via interactive panels. The programme will also allow these top delegates to network with each other as well as with today’s current space leaders, who will be speaking and moderating the panels.

The theme of the 2015 Fusion Forum is “Inspiring Investment in Space.” The Forum will focus on investment in national and international space programs, through business, government, personal, and social commitment. The event will start with an opening from a key note speaker, followed by an industry focus panel with representation from multiple facets of the space industry. The Fusion Forum will then conduct three additional panels with Forum delegates to further investigate our investment in space.

This panel will focus on different applications for our investment in space. Whether its for tourism, research, exploration, or humanitarian purposes, representatives from industry will talk about their company's mission, goals, and hardships.

At the end of the second day, participants will have the opportunity to be introduced to the Space Symposium. Space Generation Fusion Forum Delegates will participate in the Space Foundation's New Generation Leadership Exchange and New Generation Networking Reception. The Leadership Exchange is a "speed networking" event where delegates will have the opportunity to interact with today's top space sector leaders from government and industry. Attendees of the Fusion Forum will also have access to the Space Symposium Opening Ceremony and Opening Reception in the Exhibit Hall.
Attendance at the fourth Space Generation Fusion Forum is competitive and limited to 50 or fewer. SGAC aims to select a diverse group of top-notch, dedicated university students and young professionals in the space sector including government, industry and academia.
Participants will be selected based on their knowledge of one or more of the Fusion Forum topics, as demonstrated in their applications. The 15-20 top applicants will be invited to serve as the young subject matter experts on the three panels.

Global Grants Programme 2015
EXTENDED DEADLINE: 6 March 2015
A main goal of the Space Generation Fusion Forum is to provide firsthand international perspectives to the US event. SGAC is enabling this through its Global Grants Programme for the Forum. Top international applicants will be selected to attend the Space Generation Fusion Forum and the 31st Space Symposium. Winners must be SGAC members between the ages of 18-35 (it's free and easy - become an SGAC member). The Programme will cover round trip travel to Colorado Springs, lodging, visa costs, and the registration fees for both the Fusion Forum and the Space Symposium.
The winners of the Global Grants Programme will participate in one of the four panels and will be noted at the Space Symposium. More information on each of the panels can be found here.

Fusion Forum Staff
Chair: Christopher Vasko (Austria/Hungary)
Christopher was born in Vienna, Austria. His strong interest in space related topics began early on and led him to study Physics at the Vienna University of Technology. At university he gradually got more involved in space and research from a scientific perspective. During his graduate course participated as an engineer in various national space related outreach/educational projects, developing a taste for communicating science. During the last years of his Master, he worked as an intern at a small privately held Austrian company assisting in developing a novel plasma engine for space applications. After his thesis, Christopher held an internship position at the European Space Policy Institute, the SGAC Vienna office and worked as scientific advisor for an international think-tank based in Germany. Christopher is currently completing his PhD in Applied Physics at the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. He has been an active in SGAC since 2009 as intern to the Vienna office, web editor, National Point of Contact for Austria and most recently as the Treasurer and co-chair of SGAC.
Victoria is an Electronic, Telecommunications and Electrical Engineer. In 2012 she started IEETECH, a social enterprise whose main product is Chipsafer, winner of the 2012 ITU Young Innovators Competition. She filed patents in different countries and in 2013 won the Best Young Inventor Award from the World Intellectual Property Organization. In terms of interests, her biggest passion has always been space. For her thesis, she designed and built the Attitude Determination System of the first Uruguayan Satellite. In 2009, she was awarded the IAF Youth Grant that enabled her to participate in the IAC and the SGC. She became very excited about the work done at SGAC and first served as Uruguay´s NPoC and then as South America Regional Coordinator. She attended International Space University, where her team designed a medical experiment that won the Barcelona Zero-G Aerobatics Challenge, and in 2012 she served as Space Engineering Teaching Associate. She contributed to aerospace engineering textbooks and she is managing editor of a small satellite programs book. In 2013 she was a participant at Singularity University's Graduate Studies Program where she started working on a project to use unmanned aerial vehicles for precision agriculture
Executive Director and Fusion Forum Co-Manager: Minoo Rathnasabapathy (Australia/South Africa)
Minoo is the Executive Director of the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), an NGO which acts in support of the United Nations Programme on Space Applications, based in Vienna, Austria. Minoo earned her undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering in Australia, and has worked on several projects including structural design improvements for the Ariane 5 launch system. Minoo is currently completing her PhD in Aerospace Engineering, researching the impact dynamics of novel materials used in aerospace structures. Besides her interest in the space sector, Minoo has a black belt in Shotokan Karate.
Sirisha Bandla currently serves as the Associate Director for the Commercial Spaceflight Federation, an industry association of leading businesses and organizations working to make commercial spaceflight a reality. Before joining the Commercial Spaceflight Federation, she worked as an aerospace engineer designing mechanical components for advanced aircraft at L-3 Communications in Texas. While at Purdue University, Sirisha lead a team in the NASA-supported Reduced Gravity Student Flight Opportunities Program in which she flew onboard the ZERO-G aircraft and managed and led a group of engineers who designed, fabricated, and flew a microgravity science payload. She has a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering from Purdue University's School of Aeronautics and Astronautics and is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Ana Raposo is an Aerospace engineer graduated from Instituto Superior Técnico, in Portugal. She worked as a trainee at the Guidance, Navigation and Control section of the European Space Agency, in the Netherlands, before she moved to the United Kingdom, where she currently lives. She is part of SGAC since 2013, when she was appointed as Project Coordinator. Ana has a deep interest in education and outreach and is part of a local outreach team aiming to promote STEM disciplines among schoolchildren. During her free time Ana enjoys travelling and photography.

Zhuoyan Lu is a doctoral student majoring in space law research at University of Lapland in Finland and was involved as Albert’s Researcher at University of Cologne, Germany. She was with the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs at New York Headquarters as a research assistant in 2014 and the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) for a 3-month internship in 2013, when she presented at UNCOPUOS the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee meeting in February, the Legal Subcommittee meeting in April, and further participated UNCOPUOS in June as a SGAC delegate. In 2012, she took part in the mission on National Space Legislation research work for China. Zhuoyan has been involved with SGAC as Commercial Space Project Group Lead, staff member of SGC2013 local organizing committee and project coordinator for SGC2013 Working Groups. She was also a co-author for SGAC Space Safety and Sustainability Working Group's "Active Debris Removal" report. She is passionate about space, a member of the International Institute of Space Law, ESA - European Centre for Space Law and an active member of Women in Aerospace – Europe.

Lindsey Yee is a graduate of the International Space University where she completed her Masters in Space Studies 2013 and participated in the Space Studies Program 2012. Previously, she worked at NASA Ames Research Center as a Project Coordinator and Resource Analyst and helped to found the Silicon Valley Space Business Roundtable. Lindsey also participated in the first Fusion Forum 2012, the Space Station Design Workshop 2010, and the Space Generation Congress 2009. As an undergraduate at Boston University, she studied International Relations Business and Economics in East Asia. Outside of space, Lindsey enjoys ultimate frisbee, traveling, and food.

Caitlin currently works in New Technologies at QinetiQ focusing on the commercialisation of space and cyber technologies, as well as developing partnerships within the sectors. She is also studying for her MSc in Countering Organised Crime and Terrorism at the Engineering Department in University College London (UCL) where she is pursuing research on the quantification of cyber risk and crime. Her interests lie in issues of security and defense, especially in regard to protecting our critical infrastructure systems (including satellites and communication/navigation) from new and emerging threats. Her side passions include Brazilian jiu jitsu and boxing, alongside general space geekery.

Amir Blachman – Speaker
Managing Director, Space Angels Network
It's an honor to work with my talented business partners and our team of accomplished investors at Space Angels Network. The Network's mission contributes to the lives of the people we work with and, on a broader scale, life on earth. As Managing Director, I find and facilitate investment opportunities, examine startups' viability, and support our Angels in their due diligence. I help our portfolio companies achieve their goals by introducing them to an ecosystem of investors, clients, business advisors and technology experts.
The most exciting part of the work is living in a world of ideas, visiting launch sites and development hangars; working with determined entrepreneurs and seasoned industry experts to literally shoot for the stars.
My background includes service as an instructor in the Israeli Air Force, an acquisitions analyst on a $65 million real estate investment fund, and operations leadership roles at three companies, as we grew them from mom-and-pop endeavors through IPO or acquisition.
In terms of formal education, I hold a BA in Psychology from UC Santa Barbara, an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and am a graduate of the joint UCLA Anderson/NASDAQ Director Certification Program focused on corporate governance. I served as a volunteer Big Brother for nine years, and am an instrument-rated private pilot.
Salvatore Tory Bruno – Speaker
President and Chief Executive Officer, United Launch Alliance (ULA)
Prior to joining ULA, he served as the vice president and general manager of Lockheed Martin Strategic and Missile Defense Systems. The business is a leading provider of ballistic missile and ballistic missile defense systems, supporting U.S. Department of Defense customers, as well as the U.K. Royal Navy and Ministry of Defence. Programs included the Navy's Trident II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM), the Air Force's Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Reentry Systems, and the Missile Defense Agency's Terminal High Area Altitude Defense (THAAD), Targets and Countermeasures and Common Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicle (EKV) Concept Definition. He also managed the corporation's responsibilities in Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) Management Limited, a joint venture that produces and safely maintains the U.K.'s nuclear weapons. He is a former member of the board of directors of Lockheed Martin U.K. Ltd.
Bruno joined Lockheed Martin in 1984. He previously served as vice president and general manager of FBM and ICBM, as vice president of the THAAD Missile, as vice president of Engineering, as chief engineer for Strategic Missile Programs, as program manager for FBM Rocket Propulsion and in engineering positions involving design and analysis for control systems of rockets and hypersonic reentry vehicles. He holds several patents.
He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the California Polytechnic State University, in San Luis Obispo, California, and has completed graduate courses and management programs at Harvard University, Santa Clara University, the Wye River Institute, San Jose State University and the Defense Acquisition University.
Bruno is a companion of the Naval Order of the United States, a member of the Navy League and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group. He served on the National Blue Ribbon Panel for Bettering Engineering & Science Education and as Chairman of the Diversity Council of Lockheed Martin Space Systems.
He is the author of two books that explore the organization of the medieval Knights Templar from the perspective of modern business management: "Templar Organization: The Management of Warrior Monasticism" and "Templar Incorporated." He is a recipient of the Order of Merit of the Sovereign Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem.
Eric Stallmer – Speaker
President, Commercial Spaceflight Federation
Stallmer most recently served as the Vice President of Government Relations at Analytical Graphics Inc. (AGI). Stallmer joined AGI in 2001 in the newly created position of Director of Government Relations. During his time at AGI, Stallmer represented AGI’s commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products and technology to defense, intelligence, Congress, and civil government sectors within the aerospace industry.
Stallmer came to AGI from The Space Transportation Association (STA), a non-profit, industry trade organization providing government representation to companies with a vested interest in the U.S space launch industry. Prior to that, Stallmer worked on Capitol Hill in the office of Congressman Tom Coburn.
For the past two decades, Stallmer has served as a logistics officer in the United States Army and Army Reserves. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service while engaged in combat operations during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He recently served as an instructor at the Army’s Command and General Staff College (CGSC) and is currently assigned to the Pentagon in the office of the Deputy Chief of Staff Army for Logistics, G-4.
Stallmer earned a Masters of Arts Degree in Public Administration from George Mason University, Fairfax, VA, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and History from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, N.Y.
Carissa Christensen - Speaker
Managing Partner, The Tauri Group
Carissa Bryce Christensen is a founder and Managing Partner of The Tauri Group. For 25 years, Ms. Christensen has been a recognized expert in commercial space, and has engaged the leading edge of the space industry with innovative analysis of space systems, industry economics, advanced technologies, unique regulatory requirements, and underlying demand. Her on-going work with government agencies, industry organizations, launch firms, and satellite manufacturers and operators helps decision makers better understand market positioning, future demand for space services, and competitive dynamics. Ms. Christensen’s extensive publications include contributions to peer-reviewed journals, industry publications, books, and conference proceedings. She is often quoted in trade and popular media. Ms. Christensen holds a Master of Public Policy degree from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, where she specialized in science and technology policy. She also completed the General Course in Government at the London School of Economics and was a Douglass Scholar at Rutgers University.
Senior Vice President for Strategic & International Affairs, The Space Foundation
As head of international affairs, Eisenhart is principally responsible for the Space Foundation's global strategy and relationships with international space agencies and organisations, foreign embassies and U.S. organisations involved with global space programs. He is directly responsible for the programme development and integration of key Space Foundation activities including the annual Space Symposium. He also supervises the Space Foundation's government affairs activities in the Washington, D.C., office including relationships with government agencies, other space advocacy organisations and associations and corporate interests. Since joining the Space Foundation in 1996, Eisenhart has had a broad range of responsibilities, serving as senior vice president of strategic communications, director of communications and public affairs and communications manager. Eisenhart was a military public affairs official and is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Jeff Feige - Speaker
Chief Executive Director, Orbital Outfitters
Jeff Feige has worked exclusively for “NewSpace” entrepreneurial space companies as a consultant for both government affairs and government marketing. Prior to his work at OO he worked for Polispace, a consulting firm focused on supporting entrepreneurial spaceflight firms. Before that, he was the Assistant to the Executive Director of the Aerospace States Association, an organization devoted to developing the aviation and space industries through the tools available to state governments. In addition to his work in the NewSpace industry, he also helped found Talon Aerospace, an LED lighting firm that develops internal and external lighting solutions for the commercial air transportation industry. He is an avid sailor, SCUBA diver, and pilot.
Vice President, Business Development and Government Relations
As Virgin Galactic's Vice President of Business Development and Government Affairs, Richard is responsible for managing business development focusing on LauncherOne, the company's dedicated orbital launch vehicle for small satellites. Richard will be also responsible for managing the company's interactions with the US government.
Prior to joining Virgin, Richard served as Director, Space and Aeronautics, in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. In this role, he served as the principal advisor on space and aeronautics matters to Dr. John Holdren, the Science Advisor to the President. In this position, Richard played a key role in the development and implementation of the Administration's domestic and international space policy and program priorities.
Richard has a long history of government and private sector service. Prior to joining OSTP, Richard served as the Vice President of Government Affairs for Intelsat General. In that position, Richard was responsible for managing Intelsat General's legal team, leading its government relations and public policy efforts, as well as representing Intelsat General before numerous U.S. and international policy and regulatory agencies.
With more than 25 years of experience, Mr. DalBello is well-known in satellite communications and government circles. He served previously as president of the Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association, and for more than three years as the president of the Satellite Industry Association. The SIA is the voice of the U.S. commercial satellite industry on policy, regulatory and legislative matters. Earlier, Mr. DalBello was General Counsel for Spotcast Communications Inc., and Vice President of Government Affairs, North America, for ICO Global Communications, a provider of mobile satellite communications services. Jeffrey S. Ashby
Chief of Mission Assurance, Blue Origin
Jeff Ashby was raised in the Colorado mountains where he developed a passion for nature and exploration. He left Colorado with a goal to fly into space and achieved that goal 25 years later. Along the way, he earned degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Aviation Systems and completed a successful career as a Navy pilot.
Ashby spent 18 years as a Naval Aviator, accumulating over 8000 flight hours, 1000 carrier landings, and 65 combat missions. He is a graduate of the Navy Fighter weapons School (Top Gun) and Naval Test Pilot School. In his final fleet assignment as Commanding Officer of Fighter Squadron 94, Ashby led his team to earn distinction as the Navy’s top performing F-18 squadron.
Following his Navy career, Ashby worked for 13 years as an astronaut and a NASA senior executive. He completed 3 space shuttle missions including the deployment of the Chandra X-ray telescope and two flights to assemble the International Space Station. He flew as Commander of space shuttle Atlantis on mission STS-112 which delivered and installed a 30,000 lb truss segment on the orbiting laboratory. His final NASA tour was Senior NASA liaison to Air Force Space Command.
Ashby has served as the Vice President of Business Development for Alliant Tech Systems, and served on the board of the non-profit Melanoma Research Foundation which he helped create. He now resides in Colorado Springs, Colorado where he currently works as the Chief of Mission Assurance for Blue Origin, specializing in private human spaceflight and human rating certification.
Dr. Michael Gazarik
Technology Director, Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp
Gazarik joins Ball following an 11-year career with NASA. He has over 25 years' experience in the design, development, and deployment of spaceflight systems. He has contributed to the development of technology with application to NASA's exploration, space operations and science missions. His most recent role has been the Associate Administrator for the Space Technology Mission Directorate at NASA headquarters where he led NASA's rapid development and incorporation of transformative technologies that enable the Agency's missions, and address the Nation's aerospace community's most difficult challenges.
Earlier in his career, Gazarik served as deputy director for programs at NASA's Langley Research Center in the Engineering Directorate. Prior to joining NASA, Gazarik served as project manager for the Geosynchronous Imaging Fourier Transform Spectrometer project at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Lincoln Laboratory. He also led the development of the Airborne Sounder Testbed-Interferometer, an instrument that helps scientists understand temperature and water vapor profiles of the Earth's atmosphere. Gazarik also worked in the private sector on software and firmware development for commercial and government applications including telecommunications and signal processing.
Gazarik earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1987. He earned an M.S. in 1989 and a Ph.D. in 1997, both in electrical engineering, from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Gazarik has received numerous awards, including NASA's Outstanding Leadership Medal and a Silver Snoopy Award, one of NASA's highest honors.
Government Affairs Manager at SpaceX
Stephanie Bednarek is the Government Affairs Manager at Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX)which designs, manufactures, and launches the world's most advanced rockets and spacecraft. In this role, she manages all aspects of executive branch, legislative, state and federal agency affairs including strategy, policy development, and research. Stephanie also supports SpaceX’s civil space business development efforts.
Prior to joining SpaceX, Stephanie held positions at the George Washington University Space Policy Institute, Space Foundation, Space Studies Board at the National Research Council, Aerospace Industries Association, and Orbital Sciences Corp. Stephanie is on the Board of Directors of the American Astronautical Society, National Space Socity and the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast.
Stephanie is currently serving as the Public Policy Chair of the AIAA National Capital Section. In recent years, she served as the Vice President of Programs for Women in Aerospace and as the Commercial Space Chair of the Aerospace Industries Association.
Stephanie received a B.S. degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Virginia and an M.A. in science and technology policy from George Washington University. She also studied at the International Space University.
Professor at UNSW Canberra
Professor Russell Boyce holds the position of Chair for Space Engineering at UNSW Canberra, wherehe leads the UNSW Canberra Space Research effort. He brings to this role a research approach developed throughout 25 years in the field of hypersonics, coupling computational and experimental research with flight testing, most recently via the SCRAMSPACE scramjet flight experiment program which he led as Chair for Hypersonics at the University of Queensland. Professor Boyce also chairs the Australian Academy of Science’s National Committee for Space and Radio Science, sits on the Executive Council of the Space Industry Association of Australia, and is an Associate Fellow of AIAA.
UNSW Canberra has invested $10M to develop a sustainable university-led program to routinely conceptualise, develop and fly affordable in-orbit missions to perform innovative research in space. In the coming 6 years, their team will fly a minimum of four cubesat missions, which will include flight experiments for validating Space Situational Awareness astrodynamics simulation and observation capabilities, demonstrations of novel space-based instrumentation, and satellite formation flying. The flights are underpinned by ground-based experimental research employing space test chambers, advanced diagnostics and supercomputer simulations.

Clayton Mowry has worked for over 20 years in the commercial launch and satellite sectors serving in government, as the leader of an industry trade association and as a senior executive for the world’s leading commercial launch services company.
Mr. Mowry joined Washington, D.C.-based Arianespace, Inc. as its President and Chairman in 2001. As the head of the Arianespace’s U.S. subsidiary, he is responsible for managing the company’s sales, marketing, strategy, government relations and corporate communications activities.
Before joining Arianespace, Mr. Mowry served for six years as Executive Director at the Satellite Industry Association, a non-profit alliance of U.S. satellite operators, manufacturers and ground equipment suppliers.
Prior to his role at SIA, he worked as a commercial space industry analyst and Senior International Trade Specialist with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration.
Clayton Mowry received a Master of Business of Administration from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and a Bachelor of Arts in politics and government from Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio.
In addition to his work at Arianespace, Mr. Mowry currently serves on the board of the Hosted Payload Alliance, on the advisory board of the Space Generation Advisory Council, and as Chairman of the Future Space Leaders Foundation.
Director of Government and Legislative Affairs at Intelsat General
Myland Pride joined Intelsat General Corporation as Director, Legislative and Government Affairs inJanuary 2014. He provides strategic direction for: legislative and government affairs; policy and strategy development and implementation; and executive and legislative branch outreach.
He represents Intelsat General’s interests with key government officials, associations and industry groups in the advocacy and promotion of innovative and strategic uses for commercial satellite communications.
Prior to joining Intelsat General, Mr. Pride served in the U.S. Air Force for 24 years, retiring as a Colonel. A career nuclear weapons and space officer, he had numerous command and senior staff assignments at Air Force Space Command, the Air Staff, the Joint Staff and the National Reconnaissance Office.
Mr. Pride earned a Masters Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, a Masters Degree in Military Operational Art and Science from Air University, a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management from Webster University, and a Bachelor of Science Degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy.
He stays active in industry groups including the Air Force Association, the Navy League, the Washington Space Business Roundtable, and the Satellite Industry Association.
Director of Government Relations
Karen Yasumura joined DigitalGlobe in 2014 and currently serves as the Director of Government Relations. In this role, she is responsible for strategy development and implementation of the legislative affairs and policy portfolios, to include budget and regulatory issues.
Previously, Ms. Yasumura was the Manager of Government Affairs at Intelsat, where she also served as Chairman of their Political Action Committee. She has served as a company representative on the Satellite Industry Association, as a Board Member of the Washington Space Business Roundtable and was an officer for Women in Aerospace.
Prior to joining industry, Ms. Yasumura was the Military Legislative Assistant for Colorado Senator Wayne Allard and a legislative analyst for the U.S. Air Force. Ms. Yasumura holds a Masters of National Security Policy from the Naval War College and a Bachelor.
