VIENNA, 15 February 2019 (UN Information Service) – The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) committed today to work jointly in supporting young people in line with the Secretary General’s ‘Youth 2030 strategy’, launched in September 2018. On 15 February, UNOOSA Director Simonetta Di Pippo and the SGAC Executive Director Clementine Decoopman signed a Memorandum of Understanding for this new partnership.

SGAC is looking for a volunteer to become a co-lead of the Space Law and Policy Project Group. The new co-lead will work with current co-leads, Chris Beischl and Martin Sarret, to support the activities of the Project Group, and will report to the project group coordinators Ciro Farinelli and Alessandra Vernile.
The Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) has grown tremendously in the past few years, from increased international events to new project groups.
