SGAC membership has been steadily growing throughout the years. Among our membership there are many incredible young space enthusiasts who should be recognized for their hard work and contributions to SGAC. In December 2009, the SGAC Executive Council decided to acknowledge one member per month for his or her outstanding work and contributions to SGAC and its goals, and we continued this until today.

SGAC is proud to present the SGAC December 2015 Member of the Month: Stephen Ringler, Strategic Partnerships Coordinator

Steven Ringler

Stephen is passionate about space and linking people and businesses, having worked in the industry as a business developer, precision pointing system engineer and programmatic analyst. Stephen’s experience includes government, commercial, and international space organisations with previous roles at The Aerospace Corporation and current roles with the Space Generation Advisory Council. Stephen is now employed as Oxfordshire Space Cluster Development Manager at the Science Technology and Facilities Council (STFC), helping to further bolster Space activities within the county.

Stephen was nominated by Stephanie Wan, our Co-Chair:

"Steve was the first Space Generation Fusion Forum manager, and with his background and interest in fundraising, helped establish the Strategic Partnerships Team (SPT) over the past few years to help improve SGAC's sponsorship activities. As a result of his leadership, SGAC has been able to establish more partnerships and reach out to more sponsors than ever before, thus increasing the number of scholarships and opportunities for SGAC members."

Here's Stephen's reaction:

"I firmly believe that SGAC has excelled my career and ambitions. Everyone I meet and work with in SGAC fuels my passion and energy for space. I look forward to continuing to partner with SGAC even as I become a “dinosaur” later this year. Thank you Stephanie and selection committee! Truly, this is an honour."

From the SGAC Co-Chair, Victoria Alonsoperez:

"Steve has been a key member in the growth of SGAC. His leadership skills together with a lot of hard work have led to the success of the Strategic Partnerships Team, introducing new sponsors and partnerships. Working together with Steve was a pleasure and we will miss him in the Executive Council."
