SGAC membership has been steadily growing throughout the years. Among our membership there are many incredible young space enthusiasts who should be recognised for their hard work and contributions to SGAC. In December 2009, the SGAC Executive Council decided to acknowledge one member per month for his or her outstanding work and contributions to SGAC and its goals, and we continued this until today.

SGAC is proud to present the SGAC February Member of the Month: Jack Yeh, Executive Secretary

Jack Yeh

Jack Yeh is a former Executive Secretary for the SGAC, and is now a co-founder of STEMN, a network that connects the aerospace community via their research projects. He is passionate about space and improving collaboration and communications in the space community.

Jack was nominated by Stephanie Wan, SGAC Co-Chair:

“I've known Jack through the years through SGC and SGFF, and in particular, in his role as SGAC co-Secretary. Despite the 12+hr time difference in meetings, he has excelled in the role, positively represented SGAC, and we have been very lucky to have him part of the team. His two cents has always been valuable. Furthermore with his new startup influenced by SGC and the delegates, STEMN, I believe there can be a great collaboration between SGAC and STEMN in the future. It's exciting to see the growth of SGAC members and I'm absolutely excited to see what Jack will be doing in the next years.”

Here's Jack's reaction:

"I am extremely honoured to be selected as the Member of the Month, but I am even more grateful for the amazing Executive Team that I've had the great pleasure of working with. I'm honoured to have been a part of a team of passionate and extraordinary people, and i'm grateful to have contributed to this incredible journey. SGAC has had a tremendous impact on me and my career, and has opened doors to space that I didn't think was possible for a space cadet from New Zealand. Thank you so much Stephanie for your nomination. I'm excited about the direction we're heading, and can't wait to see the SGAC grow to inspire even more students and young professionals to space."

From the SGAC Chair, Victoria Alonsopérez:

"I would like to congratulate Jack on being selected Member of the Month. Since joining SGAC he has been a very active and enthusiastic member. He served as Executive Secretary and he was very reliable and diligent in his job. We are proud that his active volunteerism in SGAC led to a new opportunity: cofounding STEMN."
