SGAC membership has been steadily growing throughout the years. Among our membership there are many incredible young space enthusiasts who should be recognized for their hard work and contributions to SGAC. In December 2009, the SGAC Executive Council decided to acknowledge one member per month for his or her outstanding work and contributions to SGAC and its goals, and we continued this until today.

SGAC is proud to present the SGAC March 2016 Members of the Month: 1st E-SGW Organising Team

The SGAC Executive Office nominated the team.

Stephanie Wan, SGAC Chair:
We had a competitive list of nominations for the March 2016 MoM, and while we have tried to dedicate each month to a specific SGAC member - all the names tied back to the excellent work done by the European Space Generation Workshop team.
Therefore, we would like to recognize the amazing team work done to execute the event successfully, particularly highlighting Event Manager Lászlo Bacsárdi and Dorottya Milánkovich (NPoCs of Hungary) and Michal Kunes (NPoC Czech Republic). They were the first SGW to start off 2016, and has set the bar high for all the other regional events to come." The amazing leadership and teamwork shown in Budapest exemplifies the caliber of volunteerism and enthusiasm of SGAC members to excite the European Region. Congrats!"

Here is László reaction on behalf of the team:
"I really appreciate that the organising team of the first European Space Generation Workshop (E-SGW 2016) has been elected as Member of the Month.
Putting together the workshop was a challengeable task. On voluntary bases, the OrgTeam members put incredible effort to make this event possible. The members of the team are: István Arnócz (Hungary), Ali Baghchehsara (Germany), Joao Miguel Lousada (Portugal), Ádám Kiss (Hungary), Olga Koutsika (Greece), Michal Kunes (Czech Republic), Lauren Napier (Austria/USA) and the Local Organising Team with five great Hungarian members, Veronika Barta, Dániel Bényi, Kitti Berényi, Béla Hegyesi and Sára Lévay. My work as event manager was supported by co-event manager Dorottya Milánkovich. We are grateful to the European Regional Coordinators Guzel Kamaletnido (Russia) and Matteo Emanuelli (Italy) who helped us as event advisors.
I hope that the success of the ESGW2016 in Budapest could inspire the members of SGAC to organise further regional and local events all around the globe. These events offer not only a great opportunity for networking but help us to spread the voice of the next generation."
