SUMMARY:From Space to Earth: Leveraging Space Science for Climate Resilience
DESCRIPTION:This insightful webinar will explore the pivotal role of space science in combating climate change. The discussion will cover how monitoring Near-Earth Objects can provide crucial insights into planetary defense and climate impacts\, as well as how space exploration missions contribute to a deeper understanding of Earth’s climate. The webinar will also highlight how these efforts are shaping strategies for resilience and adaptation in the face of a changing climate. \nAbout the speakers: \n  \nMarcos Eduardo Rojas Ramirez: \nBorn and raised in Mexico\, I am a highly motivated and passionate engineer\, looking forward to new challenges and ready to learn something new every day. I’m fluent in Spanish & English and have an intermediate level in French and a basic level in German. I have experience working on SolidWorks\, MATLAB\, Simulink\, Python\, JAVA\, Papyrus\, Capella\, and Microsoft Office. Member of The Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) \n  \nDhanisha Sateesh: \n  \nAstrodynamics Engineer and researcher. Also interested in supersonic flow analysis\, propulsion and deep space exploration. Experienced in using MATLAB for image processing of Schlieren and Shadowgraph images and simulating orbits of celestial bodies. Also skilled in using ANSYS Fluent for computational aerodynamic analysis of flows and CAD software like Fusion 360 for modelling of 3D objects. Programmer having knowledge of Python\, C and C++ and using them for space applications. \nRegister here
