SUMMARY:Emerging Satellite Perspectives for the Philippines
DESCRIPTION:As part of the World Space Week’s “Satellites Improve Life“\, the SGAC Team from the Philippines plans to organize a one-day event highlighting emerging  commercial satellite applications in the Philippines. This event will supplement the recently held “Space for the Philippines” webinar series by furthering the discussion with particular focus on satellites. \nWe want to highlight “novel topics” that are not yet common in the Philippines as a value-added to the agenda of the Philippine Space Agency whose current focus are satellites. \nThe event will be composed of three key speakers and is open to everyone. \nThis event will also be a lens for the international community on the Filipino space network to encourage networking and collaborations. \n  \n  \n  \nREGISTRATION \nIf you are interested in joining the event please register via EventBrite. \n  \n  \n  \nCONFIRMED SPEAKERS FOR THE EVENT

SUMMARY:[PG-SpaceandCyber] - Space for IoT
DESCRIPTION:Space for the IoT: between the race for connectivity and cybersecurity concerns\nWith already more than 13 billion connected devices worldwide\, the Internet of Things is expected to grow tremendously in the years to come. If the internet mainly relies on submarine cables\, satellites and other space-assets are also part of the IoT. An increasing part of objects in the IoT are space-based assets such as autonomous cars or drones relying on GNSS services or smart appliances relying on PNT services for synchronization. Satellites might become the future backbone of the Internet of Things. \nHow are satellites related to the Internet of Things? \nWhat are the cybersecurity challenges?\nRegister and find out during our webinar! \nRegister Here!Speaker Profiles\nJames Pavur\n \nDoctoral researcher in Cybersecurity at Oxford University.\nJames has a degree in science\, technology and international affairs from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. \nRémi Ferrier\n \nEngineer by training\, interested in new technologies\, industry and space\, Rémi is Chief Product Officer at KINEIS after having worked 4 years in the administration for the implementation of public economic policies in the Midi-Pyrénées region. His technical and business profile allows him to address a wide range of issues and strategic challenges.

SUMMARY:[Partnered] Spanish Entrepreneurs Travel to Space
DESCRIPTION:Humans have always looked at space and wondered what our role in the universal playground of existence was\, imagining gods and seeking for the scientific proof of space bodies movement. Nowadays\, when we look at space\, we see a platform for progress\, a dimension for opportunity\, a dancefloor for synergies between technologies to improve the lives of people on Earth. \nThe miniaturisation of the space technology and artificial intelligence have contributed to the democratisation of space and have meant the opening to a broader audience. This is allowing thousands of people to find their spot and solve problems through space applied science. \nJoin the webinar that we have organized on October 7\, at 10 am\, entitled ‘How satellites improve life: Spanish entrepreneurs travel to space’. \nJoin the webinar!
