SGAC is looking for a Membership Co-Manager to join our executive office. This position is in charge of compiling membership statistics, and providing insights on the membership base of SGAC to help determine the growth of our organization, and to shape the SGAC annual strategy.

The SGAC Membership Co-Manager will work with the Membership Manager to:

  • Provide monthly updates on membership statistics to the SGAC Executive Committee
  • Manage the SGAC Member of the Month Programme
  • Keep track of event attendance data for SGAC local, regional and global events
  • Keep SGAC National Google Groups up to date with membership data
  • Provide recommendations on improving SGAC’s relationship and interactions with its members
  • Engage the SGAC members on Slack
  • Document procedures, programs and initiatives for future use
  • Submit an annual work plan at the start of the year, and a report at the end of the year, in accordance with SGAC procedures

Estimated time commitment: 4 hours a week

Necessary Qualifications

  • SGAC membership: registration on the SGAC website and below 33.5 years of age at the time of appointment
  • Be a citizen of a United Nations Member State
  • Be between 18 and 33.5 years old at the date of appointment
  • Demonstrate leadership and teamwork experience
  • Possess good communication skills in English and preferably in other United Nations official languages
  • Ideally have knowledge of the United Nations (UN) organization and its objectives, preferably have hands-on experience with youth projects and space-related projects
  • Initiative, and capability to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience with database management software such as MS ACCESS, statistics and data analytics is a plus
  • Previous experience with SGAC activities is a plus
