Mitchell has served as SGAC’s Strategic Partnerships Coordinator since December 2016, is leading a team paper on commercial CubeSat development in the Small Satellites Project group, and managed SGAC’s ISS R&D Young Professional Event. He is also a contributor for NewSpace Ventures.
Mitchell was nominated by Justin Park (Former SGAC Editor);
“Mitchell is an all-around great person and supporter of the Space Generation Advisory Council. He was responsible for raising tens of thousands of dollars for the organization over the last six months. He is also helping to organize the AAS conference in conjunction with the ISS R&D Conference next week. There really is no better person to give this award.”
Here’s Mitchell’s reaction:
“It’s such an honor to be voted as the member of the month at a time when there is so much happening in SGAC – from a wildly successful SGC in Adelaide to behind-the-scenes organizational growth to the various events in the pipeline – and I can honestly say I did not expect it. It’s been a pleasure working with dedicated and passionate event managers, project groups, and SGAC members across the board to help the organization grow and to explore new opportunities with our partners. I’m thankful for the personal and professional experiences I’ve had so far and I’m looking forward to what’s next!.”
From SGAC Chair, Ali Nasseri:
“I remember meeting Mitchell for the first time in Guadalajara, when he seeked us to see how he could get involved with SGAC. Since joining our team, he has helped create partnerships for multiple SGAC activities, and streamline the Strategic Partnership Team activities. He has also brought up some new avenues of activity that SGAC will be pursuing in future years. All that means that Mitchell has had a great impact on our team, and I am happy to see his contributions be recognized through the MoM! Well deserved Mitchell!“
