I am an aerospace engineer with a deep passion for space. I am from Barcelona and I am currently doing a PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue University researching on combustion instabilities in liquid rocket engines. I joined SGAC in 2013 as member and in 2015 as team member, and ever since I got hooked with this wonderful space family. I had the honor of being the Space Generation Congress 2017 Manager in Adelaide, Australia. I was part of the Finance Team and at the moment I am the SGAC Interim Chair.
A self-driven, visionary advocate for commercial space; not only do I have an academic background in mechanical/aerospace engineering, I have also left footprints across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East in the field of business development and strategy consulting. I have been long actively engaged in global space community with broad networks from academia, industry, and agencies through participating and organising regional and global prestigious events for students and young professionals in the space sector to promote multi-dimensional collaboration in the dawn of Newspace era.
An International Security and International Affairs graduate with over 5 years of communication and project management experience in research institutions, private and international organisations, Alexandra joined the space sector in 2015, when she took up the position of Project Manager at Eurisy, a Paris based association of space agencies tasked with raising awareness on the benefits of satellite-based services for society. In her position she works with various stakeholders across the space value-added chain to exchange know-how and good practices on operational and potential uses of satellite technology in various sectors. Prior to taking up the position of European Regional Coordinator at SGAC, Alexandra acted as the Event Manager of the 3rd European Space Generation Workshop. A passionate communicator, she is also a strong advocate for youth empowerment and aims to bring positive impact through her work and volunteering activities.
I am a mechanical engineer, current Regional Coordinator of the NCAC region, former NPoC of Mexico, Co Manager of the 2018 SA-SGW, winner of the Space Generation Leadership Award 2018 and science outreach and communicator. I was crew journalist in Crew 187 and Commander in Crew 202 at MDRS.
I am interested in develop a space industry in Mexico but overall in become the first women from Mexico to go space.
IEEE Senior Member, IEEE – AESS Distinguished Lecturer, and Regional Coordinator of South America for the Space Generation Advisory Council – SGAC. Electronic Engineer from the Universidad Nacional San Antonio Abad del Cusco, Systems Engineer from the Universidad Andina del Cusco. Received his Master's Degree in Industrial and Human Automatic, from the Université Paul Verlaine de Metz - France, and he received his Ph.D. Degree in Image and Signal Processing from TELECOM ParisTech supported by the French Space Agency (CNES) and German Aerospace Center (DLR). He was a Postdoctoral fellow at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia. His work experience includes research at CNES and DLR, university teaching (UNI, UNSAAC, UAC, UNI, UPCH, and UCH), performance as Engineer in CONIDA, SPECTRUM, EGEMSA, etc. Currently, he is the Coordinator of the Image Processing Research Laboratory (INTI-Lab) at Universidad de Ciencias y Humanidades (UCH).
