Matthew Lyn (USA)
Matthew Lyn was born in Kingston Jamaica, and he's beginning his third year of college at New York University in the United States. He's majoring in Marketing and minoring in Public Policy. He interned at NASA Goddard Spaceflight Center this past summer and his project was an analysis of the internship program at Goddard. He spent the summer developing a strategic plan for an analytical approach to public outreach. He proposed that intern-researchers should become a medium through which NASA communicates with the public.
He was a competitive swimmer for both the Jamaican CARIFTA team as well as the varsity team at NYU. He swam the 1,500 meter and the 5k open water as my primary events. He’ll be interning with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of the US Senate in the Fall.
“I’m extremely excited by the opportunity to learn more about the international space exploration community. Working at NASA was an incredible experience and I deeply appreciate the opportunity to refine that understanding in context with the priorities and objectives of other space agencies.”
