SGAC is looking for a volunteer to become a co-lead of the Space Safety and Sustainability Project Group. The new co-lead will work with current co-lead, Jessica Creech, to support the activities of the Project Group, and will report to the project group coordinators Ciro Farinelli and Alessandra Vernile.

The SGAC Operations Manager will be accountable for supporting the management of SGAC operations. This includes project planning, scheduling and managing, capacity and utilisation management, delegating work to meet deliverables, and tracking the status of outstanding work from the different SGAC teams.

SGAC is seeking volunteers to join our Reports Team! Every year SGAC hosts dozens of events, and every year we are required to produce Outcome Reports for the events we host. The new Report Team will have the responsibility to coordinate with Event Teams across the globe and, based on notes and content provided by these, produce reports in the most professional, consistent and timely manner possible, and help SGAC members to convey their messages and recommendations worldwide!
SGAC is pleased to announce Alexander Gilbert (USA) as the winner of the SSS Essay Competition 2019. Organized with the support of the European Southern Observatory (ESO), the SGAC Space Safety and Sustainability (SSS) Project Group invited participants aged 18 to 35 from around the world to take part in this essay competition. The competition provided entrants with the opportunity to introduce new ideas on the topic of how humankind could expand into outer space and most importantly, in a safe and sustainable way.
