ResponsibilitiesWorking hand-in-hand with the current Co-Coordinator to oversee SGAC’s core PDI activities, working directly with our specialized teams: -> PDI Recruitment Team: Drive global talent sourcing strategies. ->PDI Onboarding and Off-boarding Team: Optimize the welcoming and transition experience for all members. ->PDI IT Support Team: Manage essential updates on the PDI workspace, internal databases, and the SGAC Website.Streamline Operations: Manage general recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and effective record-keeping within the SGAC database.Talent Development: Identify and provide exciting opportunities for professional development for SGAC team members worldwide.Strategic Governance: Serve as part of the Executive Committee (EC) and advise on critical SGAC policies related to people and data insights.Culture & Advocacy: Coordinate and lead Action Teams focused on continuously improving PDI practices (e.g., Code of Conduct, Anti-Harassment Policy), and actively participate in SGAC’s Anti-Harassment Committee.Executive Liaison: Provide regular strategic updates and reports to the Executive Committee. As part of the Executive Committee team, you will report directly to the SGAC Operations Officer.Position DetailsRole: Appointed Volunteer Position (Executive Committee)Term: 2-year tenure, with the prestigious opportunity to renew for an additional 2 years.Commitment: An agile 7-8 hours per week on average, perfect for balancing alongside your studies or professional career.Necessary QualificationsSGAC Membership: Registration on the SGAC website and under 34 years of age at the time of appointment.Passion for Space: A genuine interest in the space sector, space advocacy, and youth empowerment.Transformational Leadership: Ability to inspire, motivate, and align a fully remote, international team of volunteers around a shared vision without relying on corporate authority.Cultural Empathy & Awareness: Proven experience in building professional relationships across different cultures, navigating diverse communication styles, and handling team dynamics with neutrality.Democratic Collaboration: A collaborative mindset that values shared decision-making, actively engaging team leads to secure buy-in and prevent volunteer burnout.Communication & Execution: Professional English skills (written and verbal), rapid email responsiveness, and a high degree of independent self-organization to meet tight deadlines.People & Data Skillset: Familiarity with remote collaboration tools (such as Google Workspace).
