In the NCAC Policy & Advocacy Webinar Series, we discuss policy topics relevant to the NCAC region with an international lens. For this webinar, we will discuss the impacts of the space industry on Earth’s climate and pathways to “net zero” emissions and environmentally friendly practices.

Elwyn Sirieys: is in charge of Sustainability Strategy and Roadmapping at ArianeGroup, the European leader of space launchers. He earned a Master of Science from the Technology and Policy Program (TPP) and the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT. His past research investigated the environmental impact of space launches and the ensuing societal response. Before joining MIT, he studied Engineering at Ecole Centrale Paris (France) and Law at Sorbonne University. He has previous experience working in strategy for Dassault Systemes, Starburst Aerospace, and UNOOSA. |

Jordan Sotudeh: is a Deputy Program Manager and Senior Technical Lead at BryceTech, supporting NASA’s Office of Technology Policy and Strategy. There, we helped design and write the Space Based Solar Power study published on 1/11/2024. He holds a Masters degree in International Science and Technology Policy from George Washington University and Project Management Professional certification. Jordan has supported C-Suite equivalent offices in technology and policy at BryceTech, NASA, JPL, and DoD, as well as market analysis and strategy to the climate change challenge. Jordan is also the founder and CEO of Venaera, a cleantech startup. |

David Buckley Biggs: is Head of Future Programs at Stoke Space. Stoke Space is a space launch company that is developing 100% reusable launch vehicles. David has previous experiences working at Momentus as Director of Advanced Architectures. Dr. Biggs earned a PhD in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from Stanford University. |

Lindsey Wiser: is an astrophysics PhD candidate in Arizona and the Lead of the NCAC Task Force. Lindsey will welcome the audience, introduce our team, and help to moderate the discussion |
