El Salvador Webinar Series #1

This webinar is part of a series featuring several Salvadoran and international speakers with topics pertaining to various space fields.
Through these Webinars, the El Salvador NPoCs seek to engage Salvadoran students and young professionals to become involved with SGAC and SGAC activities in El Salvador such as:
Projects, Open Courses and other Academic Space Endeavours.
The first of these webinars initially aims to present an option for current and graduated students that seek to further their education in a post-graduate setting. We will have a presentation by Prof. Maeda about the SEIC Program at KYUTECH, Japan.
Subsequently, we will have Dr. Rodrigo Cordova, explaining the design, construction, assembly, and operation of CubeSats in Kyutech in order to foster the development and research of similar satellites in the country of El Salvador.
Please note: Prof. Maeda’s presentation will be in English and Dr. Cordova will present in Spanish. The webinar will be in Spanish.
Your Speakers
Prof George Maeda is an Assistant Professor at the Kyushu Institute of Technology (KYUTECH) since 2015, and responsible for promoting different engineering programs such as the Space Engineering International Course (SEIC) and the Postgraduate Studies on Nanosatellite Technologies (PNST) at KYUTECH.
Dr Rodrigo Cordova is a mechatronic engineer. He holds a master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Ph.D. degree as a specialist on Attitude and Orbit Control System for small satellites. Currently, Rodrigo works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory of Lean Satellite Enterprises and In-Orbit Experiments (LaSEINE) in KYUTECH.
