Our SGAC team is incredibly saddened to hear today of the sudden passing of our friend and SGAC member, Oscar Federico Rosas Castillo.
Oscar, a young aerospace engineer originally from Mexico and currently working in California USA, had a fatal accident while mountaineering in the French Alps on 8 August 2021. He was graciously taking time off to volunteer as support staff at our partner, the International Space University at Strasbourg, France. He had also been an active member of SGAC, volunteering his time as part of the NCAC-SGOW Organizing team and Moderator, as well as attending SGC2016 and SG[Spain].
Oscar had a tremendous impact on our network and he will be sorely missed.
Our deepest condolence to his family and friends, as well as to our colleagues at the International Space University during this sad time.
