Tunisia is carrying out big steps to have a strong presence in space. Young students and professionals are trying to participate actively in space projects. In order to keep moving on in this field, young space enthusiasts are the welcome to help Tunisia having a key role in the space community.
Tunisia joined some projects of scientific research through programs and technical cooperation. Some of them are:
• International organizations involved in Earth observation
• Focal point for UN-SPIDER.
• Focal Point for Regional Activity Center for Remote Sensing in the Plan of Action for the Mediterranean (ERS / RAC MAP).
• IAF Membership in 2009

Young Space Activities Overview in Tunisia
The space activities in Tunisia are mainly related with some universities and the Tunisian Space Agency that represents the next Tunisian space generation. Tunisian Space Agency is a scientific association in Tunisia created in June 2012 to promote the aerospace field in Tunisia.
Tunisian Space Agency events offers a unique opportunity to meet, discuss relevant space topics, and enables the young generation to participate in space activity. In the last years, many space projects were done by students: mini rockets and cubesat. They design, build, expose and launch their projects. Many of them were successful. Among these projects, we have:
Almaz 01, which is a mini rocket made by a future engineer Elyes Mehri
Star01 is also another mini rocket made by a mechanical engineer Oussama Filali, in ENIT (National Institute of Engineering of Tunis)
Taparoura 01 is a mini rocket created by Houssem Ghariani, Mechanical engineer from ESPRIT (Private Graduate School of Engineering and Technology)
Carthage Sat 01 is a Tunisian picosatellite , it is the graduation project of the president of Tunisian Space Agency : Karim Hamid
Many sponsors are getting involved to enhance space activities: universities, companies, media like: Ministry of Women and Family Affairs, ESPRIT, ENIT, AirLiquid, , Kaspersky Lab, Altmutawaset, Office of Civil Aviation and Airports.
