The Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Raleigh Wooldridge as its new Treasurer. Raleigh succeeds Daniel Seybold, who served in the role for three years. The transition took place during the Space Generation Congress (SGC) 2024 in Milan, where Raleigh and Daniel met, and Raleigh officially assumed the responsibilities of Treasurer.

Raleigh is pursuing a dual-degree (MMM) at Northwestern University, combining an MBA from Kellogg School of Management with a Master of Science in Design Innovation from McCormick School of Engineering. He recently completed an MBA corporate development internship at Blue Origin and previously worked as a Senior Associate at Renaissance Strategic Advisors, specializing in aerospace strategy development and M&A advisory.

In prior volunteer positions at SGAC, Raleigh has served as the global Deputy Treasurer and Executive Secretary for the North, Central America, and Caribbean region. He has also contributed to the International Astronautical Federation’s Young Professional International Project Management Committee, submitted financial research papers for the International Astronautical Congress, and co-founded Kellogg Aerospace Management (KARMAN).

Raleigh earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with honors at the University of Texas at Austin. Born and raised in Houston, TX, he now resides in Evanston, IL.

“I’m honoured to serve as Treasurer of SGAC and grateful to the Co-Chairs and Executive Team for their confidence in me. I extend my sincere thanks to Daniel Seybold for his mentorship and his exceptional work in strengthening and expanding the Treasurer role to support our 30,000+ members, global events, policy groups, scholarships, and regional initiatives. I look forward to building on this foundation by developing efficient processes, fostering meaningful partnerships, and enabling opportunities for students and young professionals to thrive. Together, we’ll ensure SGAC continues to empower passionate students and young professionals from around the world, amplifying the voice of the future of space.”

“Finding a replacement for my position as Treasurer was one of the biggest tasks in my final year in this position. The role is incredibly important for SGAC and we need to ensure that whoever holds this position is trustworthy, reliable, and professional and that this person honours the importance and responsibility the position entails.
During his interview and certainly during the almost four months of him being my deputy, Raleigh demonstrated his capabilities and exceeded our expectations! I am incredibly proud to have him become my successor as treasurer. He is an excellent fit for the role and I wish him only the best!”
