Finnegan Sougioultzoglou
Space Technology for Earth Applications Project Group Co-Lead
Finnegan Sougioultzoglou is a young professional with an interdisciplinary background in economics, environmental policy, space studies, and environmental security. He studied at the University College London and the International Space University to pursue his interests in polar regions, asteroid mining, EO missions and space derived data for climate change monitoring, and to understand the emerging LEO space economy. He looks forward to working with his fellow co-lead and growing the activities of STEA.
Nicole Desrochers
Executive Secretary
She is a NASA contractor supporting the Office of Policy and Strategic Communication within the Space Communication and Navigation (SCaN) program at NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC. Before joining NASA, she worked as a Legislative Assistant in the Office of Congressman Don Young, the former U.S. Representative for all of Alaska. Nicole graduated from California State University, Chico in May of 2020 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Political Science. She was born and raised in Oakdale, California.
Michael Kretzenbacher
Alumni Team Member
Michael Kretzenbacher is a German-Greek-Australian system engineer, specializing in nano-satellite system and mission design. Michael is currently the principal system engineer for the multiple CubeSat projects being run as part of the Greek National Project at the European Space Agency. Prior to joining ESA, he worked in industry for several years at GomSpace, acting as technical lead for the development, delivery and launch of a number of nano-satellites. Michael has been involved with SGAC since attending his first Space Generation Congress in 2011. Over the years he has attended multiple SGAC events, both regional and international, and served as PR and Communications Co-Lead from 2011-2013, and as a team member and Co-Lead of the scholarships team between 2018 and 2022.
Tanjin Huda
Project Groups Events Lead
Tanjin is a young professional with a background in multiple engineering disciplines, including mechanical engineering and software engineering. Passionate about space and learning, she has joined SGAC as PG Events Lead to share her love of space through organising space-related activities and events with like-minded people and more.
