Kaylee Li

Asia-Pacific Regional Executive Secretary 

Kaylee Li is the Co-President at Sydney Women in Aerospace Engineering society. She is currently a Aeronautical Engineering student at The University of Sydney following her a deep passion for creating a bright future of aerospace. With a background in leadership roles in student aerospace engineering teams and societies, project coordination and Australian Industry Capability (AIC) work with Optus Satellite and Space Systems, as well as experience in the Australian Air Force Cadets, she brings a diverse set of skills to SGAC. Additionally, her research work with CSIRO on radio astronomy and SGAC SSS project group shows her drive to advance the capability of not only engineering, but science and space policy. Her bilingual capability, organizational proficiency, and dedication to fostering a supportive community is evident in her commitment to celebrate and empower individuals especially women. Kaylee’s radiant energy truly ignites enthusiasm and fuels her passion to inspire others, paving the way for a vibrant future in the aerospace industry while fostering a thriving SGAC community.

AJ Link

Ethics and Human Rights Project Group Co-Lead

AJ Link (he/him) is openly autistic. He received his JD from The George Washington University Law School and his LL.M in Space Law at the University of Mississippi School of Law. He is the inaugural director of The Center for Air and Space Law Task Force on Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity in Aerospace and an adjunct professor of space law at Howard University School of Law. AJ works as a research director for the Jus Ad Astra project and previously served as the Communications Director for AstroAccess. He is the Space Law and Policy Chair for Black in Astro and was the founding president of the National Disabled Law Students Association. He also helped found the National Disabled Legal Professionals Association and is a commissioner on the American Bar Association Commission on Disability Rights.

AJ is a policy analyst for the Autistic Self Advocacy Network. He has been actively involved with disability advocacy in the Washington, DC area and nationally within the United States. He serves on several advisory boards and steering committees that focus on disability advocacy and broader social justice movements.

Mourad Fakhfakh

Europe Regional Partnerships Manager 

Mourad is a young professional with seven years of experience in the European aerospace industry. He has a strong background in signal processing engineering, specializing in GNSS, Software Development, Space Weather, and Instrumentation.
With a diverse range of skills and experience in R&D, operational contexts, and business development, Mourad has proven expertise in project management, leading teams of up to five individuals. Thriving in activities related to supporting business development, Mourad is a lifelong learner who is always interested in challenging projects.

Sapna Rao

SGx 2024 Deputy Manager

Sapna Rao is a Systems Engineer Sr at Lockheed Martin Commercial Civil Space. She has worked on a multitude of missions including Artemis, the Human Landing Program, and is currently supporting the Cryogenic Demonstration Mission. She utilizes innovative tools such as Model Bases Systems Engineering and AI/ML on her projects including an ML tool that uses weather, topography, and lightning data to predict the probability of wildfires. Additionally, she does business development focusing on facilitating partnerships between Lockheed Martin and smaller space companies. She is on the Young Professional Advisory Board for SEDS USA and is also an involved member at SGAC. She is a lead on the ACHIEVED project for SEPG and supports the organization of STEM outreach events for the OGL PADAWANS team. Sapna finds great joy in supporting STEM activities alongside her work in business and in engineering.
