Nadir Atayev is an Azerbaijani young and enthusiastic Hardware Research Engineer/Scientist, laboratory assistant/teacher, in the Research and Development department at Azercosmos by contributing to the design of small satellites in the country and encouraging the next generation of local Azerbaijani engineers to seek the careers in the Space sector. Nadir graduated from Azerbaijan Technical University with a bachelor of Electronics, Telecommunication, and Radiotechnical engineering in Sabah groups, a master of Multichannel Telecommunication systems, and is currently studying for a Ph.D. in Telecommunication technologies. He has been involved in developing theses and articles in the field of electronics, telecommunications, and space equipment, has experience in technical competition management, and developed devices for various purposes and functions within the university and various competitions.

As an SDG Guardian at the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan Republic, I organize events that raise awareness and engage young people in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). I also contribute to the formulation of the SDG Youth Ambassadors Strategy, a project that aims to empower and mobilize youth leaders for the 2030 Agenda. At the same time, I am an intern at Azercosmos, the space agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, where I work on the Strategy and Business Development Team. I assist in the organization of events that promote space education and outreach, such as the SGAC Infosession at ADA and the SG Azerbaijan 2024. I also conduct research on sustainability topics related to space activities and applications. I am passionate about creating connections and facilitating meaningful dialogues across cultures and borders as an aspiring professional in international relations. I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in international/global studies at ADA University, where I learn about the complex and dynamic issues that shape the world today.
