Apply for the Space Generation Global Grants Programme!
One of the goals of the Space Generation Fusion Forum (SGFF) is to provide an opportunity for interaction between members of the space sector with diverse geographic and technical backgrounds. To enable those members of the SGAC community without sources of funding to attend the event, and recognize our active members, SGAC has been running the Space Generation Global Grants Programme. The Award recognises outstanding members of the SGAC community who have contributed (or continue to contribute) actively to the SGAC and go above and beyond their role to ensure SGAC’s success.
The Global Grants Programme facilitates the attendance of top delegates who bring unique and insightful firsthand perspectives to the Space Generation Fusion Forum. Delegates awarded a Global Grant will receive support to attend SGFF (April 10-13, 2026) and the 41st Space Symposium (April 13-16, 2026), in Colorado Spring, United States.
How to apply?
If you have previously volunteered for the Space Generation Advisory Council, you may be eligible for a Global Grant. The Global Grants application is completed as part of the SGFF delegate application process and requires additional extended response answers.
The Global Grants Programme requires two video submissions in the SGFF delegate application process, maximum 1 minute each:
Video 1: Describe your past contributions to SGAC and space sector.
Video 2: Why should you be selected for the 2026 Space Generation Fusion Forum Global Grants Programme?
What is included?
The award will support top applicants to attend the following events in Colorado Springs, United States:
- Space Generation Fusion Forum: 10 – 13 April, 2026
- 41st Space Symposium: 13 – 16 April, 2026
The grant will be provided as total or partial reimbursement to cover:
- Round trip travel costs to Colorado Springs, United States via economy airfare
- Lodging at a hotel or equivalent
- Visa costs (if any)
- Space Generation Fusion Forum registration
- Space Symposium registration
Application Requirements
Be aware! Previous recipients of the Space Generation Leadership Award (Global and Regional) or the Global Grant Programme to attend SGW, SGC and IAC, or SGFF and Space Symposium, in the last two years are not eligible to apply.
In the interest of giving opportunities to more members, SGAC reserves the right to prioritize applicants who have not recently received another SGAC scholarship of a similar nature. “Recently” is defined as having received a travel grant in the past two years, in the same category (either international or regional) as this posted award. International awards include scholarships for international events such as SGC/IAC, SGFF, and Space Symposium, while regional/national awards refer to events, such as the Space Generation Workshops (SGW), or other regional or national conferences. In the event that the SGFF 2026 is cancelled, this scholarship will not be counted as an international travel grant, and winners are eligible to apply for another travel grant within the next two years.
Requirements:
- SGAC Membership (free registration on the SGAC website required, and aged 18-35 years old during the period of performance)
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Good communication skills
- Interest in working with international cultures and diverse backgrounds
- Prior experience as moderator of other events or in attending a SGAC Event is preferred
- The award is intended to recognise SGAC volunteers—current or past—who have made outstanding, sustained contributions to the organisation and who have gone above and beyond their role to advance SGAC’s mission and overall success
