What is the E-SGW 2024?

The European Space Generation Workshop (E-SGW) 2024 is an international event that aims to bring together students and young professionals to think and collectively create Europe’s Future in Space.

The 8th Edition of the E-SGW will be held between the 31st of May and the 1st of June at the Universität der Bundeswehr Munich, in Germany.

During the two-day workshop, around 100 students and young professionals (aged 18-35) from all over Europe will be divided into 5 working groups to discuss a wide range of topics, from space safety to NewSpace and commercialisation, to inclusion of international workforce in the European space industry. There will be the opportunity to present the results of these working groups at the annual meeting of UN COPUOS, or as articles and business innovations.

The Application Process

The application window opened on the 1st of February 2024.

The event is open to students and young professionals (18-35 years of age) from all over Europe who are passionate about Space and willing to collaborate with others. The selection of delegates will be based on their application form, taking into account criteria such as motivation, delegate contribution to Space activities, background, and gender equality. Once applicants have been selected, there will be a separate registration process through Eventbrite. This registration is necessary for participants to secure their spot and pay for their E-SGW ticket.
