VIENNA, AUSTRIA, 23 October 2021 – SGAC is very pleased and honoured to announce that Blue Origin has been selected as the recipient of the 2021 SGAC SpaceGen Ambassador Award!
Through the SpaceGen Ambassador Award programme, SGAC wants to acknowledge organisations that deeply care for our generation, our talents, skills and needs that actively support us as the ‘next’ generation of space leaders, empower us as such and enable us to grow. The award is presented to an organisation from the space sector, either governmental, non-governmental, or private company that demonstrates genuine care for the next generation, actively supporting and empowering young space professionals and students.
Blue Origin has been a longstanding sponsor and partner of SGAC, greatly contributing to SGAC’s mandate of providing a platform for growth and engagement for our members around the world to gain skills that prove essential to their future careers.
Furthermore, the significance of our partnership with Blue Origin is reflected in the many accomplishments, and we are greatly thankful for the generous donation of $1 Million presented in July 2021 through Club for the Future. This grant will allow us and our members to propel our space endeavours into prominent careers in the space sector, update our infrastructure and governance to better support our members throughout the world and expand SGAC’s presence and impact in emerging space regions and countries to build closer relationships with regional partners to generate greater impact in local areas.
In addition, through Blue Origin’s Club for the Future generous donation, we are ready to start our visionary endowment fund which will allow us to support long term growth for SGAC and sustainably provide more scholarships that enable access to international, regional, and local space events for our members.
For these reasons, SGAC is thrilled to present the 2021 edition of this Award to Blue Origin, congratulating its employees and representatives, vital for making the organisation a true SpaceGen Ambassador!
