Join the 3rd Middle East Space Generation Workshop Organising Team (3rd ME-SGW)
SGAC is looking for motivated and committed volunteers to bring their expertise and knowledge to the organisation of the 3rd Middle East Space Generation Workshop (ME-SGW), which will take place on November 1-2, 2025, in Ankara, Türkiye.
The two-day regional workshop will bring together young professionals, students, and industry representatives to engage and nurture the next generation’s perspective on space and scientific matters in the Middle East region. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with experts from academia, businesses, and space agencies through plenary and panel sessions, keynotes, and working group discussions.
For the planning of this international event, we are looking for qualified and enthusiastic space enthusiasts to join the organising team.

Role Descriptions
Program Team ( 5 positions)
The Program Team is responsible for designing and organising the workshop’s content and structure.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and structure the event program and topics.
- Identify, invite, and coordinate with moderators and speakers.
- Facilitate collaboration among team members via cloud-based platforms.
- Draft and compile related reports and documentation.
Estimated time commitment: 2–3 hours per week on average.
Communications Team (3 positions)
The PR & Comms Team will manage communication and promotion activities for the workshop in coordination with the SGAC Public Relations and Communications Teams, as well as the Event Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Draft press releases and promotional materials.
- Manage media relations and advertising before, during, and after the workshop.
- Coordinate social media outreach and engagement.
- Collaborate with the Organizing Team and partner organizations for promotional efforts.
Estimated time commitment: 2–3 hours per week on average.
Delegate Team (4 positions)
The Delegate Team is responsible for managing delegate-related processes throughout the event cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for delegates before, during, and after selection.
- Support the delegate application and selection process.
- Maintain and update a delegate database.
- Provide assistance and answer inquiries from participants.
Estimated time commitment: 2–3 hours per week on average.
Sponsorship Team ( 3 positions)
The Sponsorship Team is responsible for engaging and maintaining relationships with potential sponsors.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the sponsorship kit.
- Reach out to and communicate with prospective sponsors.
- Support coordination of sponsorship agreements and partnership documentation.
Estimated time commitment: 2–3 hours per week on average.
Finance Team (2 position)
The Finance Team supports financial planning, budget management, and reporting for the workshop.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage the event budget.
- Coordinate with team leads regarding financial needs and allocations.
- Prepare financial reports and ensure transparency of expenditures.
- Support the creation of financial documentation for sponsors.
Estimated time commitment: 2–3 hours per week on average.
Logistics Team ( 4 positions)
The Logistics Team is tasked with coordinating all logistical aspects of the workshop to ensure a smooth execution.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate room bookings, workshop setup, and venue logistics.
- Organize local transportation and social events.
- Assist in preparing budget estimates for various phases of the event.
- Support A/V logistics, especially for hybrid or virtual formats.
- Collaborate with managers to define responsibilities and schedules.
- Coordinate accommodation arrangements for delegates, speakers, and staff with other teams.
Estimated time commitment: 3-4 hours per week on average.
Necessary Qualifications
- SGAC membership: registration on the SGAC website and below 35 years of age.

Interest in the space and science sector.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, quick-turnaround international environment and meet deadlines without compromising the quality of work.

Good English skills with a keen eye for details.

Good teamwork skills and a high degree of self-organisation.

Cross-cultural and communication awareness: Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with people from various international and cultural backgrounds.
