The Space Generation Advisory Council is proud to announce Raleigh Wooldridge as one of the 2025 Pioneer Award Recipients for his outstanding contributions to the organisation. He has been nominated and voted for, by several Executive Committee Members who were part of the Jury for the Award.
About Raleigh
Raleigh Wooldridge is the Director of Strategic Programs at Exolaunch, where he supports the CEO and executive team on operational and strategic initiatives. He is a graduate of Northwestern University’s MMM program, earning an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and an MS in Design Innovation from the McCormick School of Engineering. His background includes a range of roles across the space industry including corporate development at Blue Origin, strategy and government affairs at Firefly Aerospace, and aerospace strategy consulting at Renaissance Strategic Advisors. Raleigh participates actively in the space industry through SGAC and other young professional organisations including the Matthew Isakowitz Space Scholars and IAF’s IPMC Young Professionals Leadership Development Programme. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering through the Engineering Honors Program from the University of Texas at Austin.
History with SGAC
Raleigh first joined the Space Generation Advisory Council in 2022 through regional roles and participation in SGx. Serving as Executive Secretary of SGAC’s North, Central America, and Caribbean (NCAC) region, Raleigh supported the administration and coordination of local and NCAC regional activities.
In June 2024, Raleigh transitioned into the role of Deputy Treasurer. In this capacity, he worked closely with the Treasurer to understudy the role, supporting core financial operations while contributing process improvements and financial oversight with event organisers and project teams. The period enabled continuity and knowledge transfer within the Finance Team.
In October 2024, Raleigh assumed the role of Treasurer. As Treasurer, he has led efforts to strengthen SGAC’s financial processes, improve transparency, and ensure the organisation’s financial sustainability. His work has supported 20+ global events, 150+ scholarships, and broad organisational initiatives, enabling volunteers and leadership to achieve the mission of SGAC.
While receiving this award, Raleigh, said:

My experience with SGAC, from regional engagement to global leadership, has continuously demonstrated the impact of a global, volunteer driven organization led by students and young professionals working towards a shared goal. I’m grateful to be part of a team that creates real opportunities in the space industry, and to work alongside the next generation of space leaders across the Finance Team, Executive Committee, and global event teams. I look forward to continuing to advance SGAC’s mission together.
