SGAC is seeking an ambitious, and highly motivated volunteer to join the Europe Regional Team as Regional Partnership Manager.

Role Description

The Regional Partnership Manager (Europe) will work closely with the current Executive Director (ED), coordinate with Regional Partnership Managers from the other regions and with the Project Groups Partnership Co-Leads, and report to the Regional Coordinators for Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the various initiatives between all European countries
  • Support SGAC Event Managers in their sponsorship activities
  • Support SGAC National Points of Contact in developing partnerships
  • Look for regional sponsors, new partners, fundraising efforts
  • Find partners to fund more scholarships for SGAC members in the region
  • Coordinate with ED for global initiatives relevant to the region

This is a volunteer position.

Approximate Time Commitment: Estimated at 4-7 hours a week.

Duration of Term: Two Years

Role Requirements

  • SGAC membership: registration on the SGAC website and below 34 years of age at the time of recruitment
  • Good understanding of the European space industry and its key players
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, quick turnaround international environment and meet deadlines without compromising the quality of work
  • Strong or competent working knowledge of document preparation, management and collaborative applications  (Google Apps, Microsoft Office Suite) 
  • Excellent written English
  • Quick turnaround email response time
