SGAC seeks an ambitious, highly motivated volunteer to join the European Regional Team as Regional Social Media Manager.

Role Description:
The Regional Social Media Manager (Europe) is part of the European Regional Team and works under the supervision and in close collaboration with the Regional Coordinators and the Regional Communications Manager.
Responsibilities
The Regional Social Media Manager’s tasks include:
- Developing tailored social media campaigns for regional events across appropriate social media platforms.
- Participating in shaping the regional social media strategy and enhancing SGAC’s outreach in Europe.
- Support the Regional Communication Manager with the creation of regional newsletters that will be distributed in the SGAC European community.
- Contribute to the creation, and ensure implementation of the regional PR and Communications Strategy for the organisation.
- Providing assistance to National Points of Contact (NPoCs) in managing online communities and expanding audience reach.
This is an appointed volunteer position. The appointment will be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal for an additional 2 consecutive years.
Approximate Time Commitment: Estimated at 2-4 hours a week.
Duration of Term: Two Years
Role Requirements:
- SGAC membership: registration on the SGAC website and being 18-35 years of age for the duration of the appointment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, quick-turnaround international environment and meet deadlines without compromising the quality of work
- Flexible and proactive for creative and diversified posting
- Experience/familiarity with your region’s space sector is a plus
- Proven experience with social media content management
- Excellent English skills, good computer skills, and speedy email response time
- Some skills in the use of editing and/or graphic design and video software are preferable (e.g., Google Apps,
- Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, GIMP/Photoshop)
