SG[Spain]2023 Organizing Team’s role as part of the SGAC team:

On November 18th, the 3rd edition of the Spanish national event of the Space Generation Advisory Council was held in Barcelona at the Castelldefels School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering (EETAC-UPC). It was a day filled with inspirational keynotes and engaging discussions on key topics for young professionals and students from Spain and Europe in the space sector. During the event, three workshops were performed, Space Exploration, Career Development, and Entrepreneurship, where nearly 120 delegates could debate and draw conclusions.

All the team had a crucial role in the SGAC community, by showing their best skills and providing all the attendees, speakers, and sponsors all the support needed during the day of the event and during the previous months during the hard organization.

SG[Spain]2023 Organizing Team, share with us your reaction to receiving the nomination:

Words by Àurea and Anna:

Receiving rewards for your performance is always comforting, but this one is special. This was our first time working as an organizing couple, and with perspective now, we could not be more proud of the whole team that contributed to making that journey unforgettable. We all brought out the best of us, and the event turned out to be the perfect combination of technical knowledge and enjoyment.

What learnings have you got for those considering joining SGAC?

Organizing the SG[Spain]2023 was the perfect opportunity to meet and work with other young professionals in our region who have similar interests to you. Moreover, this was an international event, since people from different countries joined us, so it was also a nice chance to get to know more about SGAC in general, its environment, and its projects. It is always so inspirational and extraordinary to be part of the SGAC community.

Would you like to share with us a special quote you feel guided by, or how would you motivate others to stay focused on their goals?

Sometimes motivation to follow a personal goal is difficult to find, that’s why we encourage students and young professionals to be involved in SGAC projects or events, since it’s a perfect opportunity to meet people with personal projects and different points of view, that can help you find that motivation that was lacking. Also, it allows you to discover new projects and initiatives. Furthermore, joining an event as part of the organization team is always rewarding since you build even stronger relations that might go further than the event.

Stay tuned, for the next SG[Spain] event, since fresh news about it will be published soon!!
