Francesco Ventre – Event Manager

Francesco Ventre is the Innovation Manager of Confindustria Brescia, Italy and Technical Director of Innexhub. He holds a BSc in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Naples “Federico II” and a MSc in Space Engineering from Politecnico di Milano with a thesis in astrodynamics developed with the University of Liverpool. He is an ISU Space Studies Program alumnus from the class of 2021. Passionate about aerospace entrepreneurship and economy, he is the co-founder (and former CEO) of Walle srl the first italian airline for “taxi-drones”. He is a member of the SGAC, AIDAA, Women In Aerospace, ECSECO and the IAF Space Entrepreneurship Committee. He is in the Advisory Board of Polispace, the first space association of Politecnico di Milano that he co-founded in 2020. At the end of 2021 he also contributed to the creation of SEDS Italy, the federation of Italian universities space associations; he is now part of the Advisory Board. He is author and co-author of several conference proceedings. His hobbies include watching anime, reading and listening to music.

Federica Angeletti – Deputy Event Manager

Federica Angeletti is a Research Associate at the School of Aerospace Engineering (SIA) of the University of Rome La Sapienza. She holds a Ph.D. in Aeronautical and Space Engineering from La Sapienza, with a focus on dynamics and control of space systems, while also being Visiting Researcher at Thales Alenia Space Cannes, France. She has worked as Mechanisms and Robotics Engineer at OHB System AG, Munich, Germany. Her main fields of interest are flexible multibody systems, control systems, piezoelectric materials, vibration control, structural health monitoring and machine learning.
During her academic career, she was involved in several research studies funded by space agencies and companies. She also took part in educational projects at international level, such as the DLR/SNSA/ESA BEXUS program and the development of university CubeSats. As an active SGAC member, she already supported two of the previous ISSC editions. She is also an active member of other aerospace-related associations, such as the Italian Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIDAA), the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) Materials and Structures Committee, the Rome Local Group of Women in Aerospace-Europe (WIA-E) and the Zonta International e-Club of Italy.

Matteo Bonissi – Deputy Event Manager

Matteo Bonissi is an Italian Entrepreneur and Project Manager.
He is a graduating student in Business Economics at the University of Western Piedmont (UniUpo) with a thesis in Space Economics.
His first experiences in event planning were during his term as Head of the Culture and Arts Commission in the Milan Province Student Council with his two years term.
He has gained experience in the communications field by being a Project Manager and Consultant in various entities, and has been collaborating with his university’s association SEDS-UPO (Student for the Exploration and Development of Space – Università del Piemonte Orientale), part of the SEDS environment.
Matteo is also a book writer and movie producer-director-screenwriter and with his experience in the Entertainment field he aims at helping the team organizing the Italian Space Startup Competition to reach to the stars.

Giustina Di Donato

Giustina Di Donato is a Research and Development Engineer for an Italian aerospace company. She holds a Msc Degree in Telecommunication Engineering with Master Thesis on advanced radar systems and conformal antennas for aerospace:explored design and implementation of advanced radar systems and conformal antennas, with a focus on aerospace. applied skills in real-world contexts through research projects and specialized courses for remote sensing and earth observation. She also studied in Paris where she was involved in the development of onboard space system, now she is specializing on training on startup mentorship evaluating their proposals for alignment with company objectives.

Rebecca Masia

Rebecca is a second-year PhD student in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino. Her research focuses on the multiscale analysis of advanced composite materials and the simulation of their manufacturing processes. She collaborates with the University of Washington to predict residual deformations in complex composite components that undergo curing cycles.
Since 2021, Rebecca has been an active member of the Italian Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIDAA), contributing significantly to the organization of two AIDAA International Aerospace PhD-Days editions. She is currently involved in the organization of the International Astronautical Congress (IAC), organized by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), that AIDAA will host in Milan in October 2024. She manages communications for IAC 2024’s social media and also plays a key role in AIDAA’s communication team. Additionally, Rebecca is a Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) member and was part of the program team for the ISSC’s latest edition in Naples in 2022.

Ilaria Fiore

Ilaria Fiore is a master degree student in Building and Architectural Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. She discovered her interest in Space Architecture during a competition organized by the Politecnico di Torino and she decided to continue studying the topic in her thesis project. Combining the theme of Space Tourism with Space Architecture she is investigating the technical aspects of building systems by Additive Layering Manufacturing (ALM) along with In-Situ Resource Utilisation (ISRU), to build a Hotel on the lunar surface.
With the goal of working on international projects, she has taken leadership courses and participated in several activities with different associations in the space sector.
She is an active member of Moon Village Association (MVA), SGAC, also in the Space Exploration Project Group where she is involved in the project ‘’LUNEX Space Home’’ and she was in the organizing team of the 4th Italian Space Startup Competition, the 7th European Space Generation Workshop and now in the 5th ISSC.
In SEDS Italy last year she was the Event Manager and was in in charge to organise the 2nd edition of the SEDS Italy Space Conference. This year she is in SEDS Italy as Advisor to support peoject and the goals of the new board.

Théa Beaury

Théa is a Colombian and French undergraduate physics student at the University of Bordeaux. She is passionate about human rights and event planning, which is why she was Secretary General of her high school’s Model United Nations and co-founded a Girl Up gender equality club. In her free time, Théa hosts a podcast about growing up and being a girl in STEM and volunteers with children and in student events. Previously, she has taken part in Tikkun Olam Makers, a worldwide initiative to provide affordable engineering solutions to disabled people and was also part of a First Robotics Competition team, winning the judge’s award. She is now excited to participate on the communications team for the European Space Generation Workshop and organize the Italian Space Startup competition.

Luca Aldini

Luca Aldini is working as Business Analyst at Leaf Space where he deals with both technical and commercial aspects related to ground segment solutions. Born and raised in Italy, he is fulfilling his dream of working in the space sector.
In his day-to-day job, he has to tackle requests coming from different departments that require a multidisciplinary approach. Delivering solutions that take into account all aspects of the business is an exciting challenge that he does not want to miss. 
He is member of SGAC from 2021, when he participated in the Italian Space StartUp Competition as a delegate and where he got the chance to do an internship in Leaf Space; then, he has been part of the Organizing Team of the 7th European Space Generation Workshop, held in Bari in 2023, and participated as a delegate at the SG[France]2023, held in Bordeaux. He is now thrilled to be part of the Organizing Team of the 5th ISSC, and aims to deliver a fruitful and amazing experience to all the attendees.

Riccardo Salgarella

Riccardo holds a MsC in Aerospace Engineering with specialization in Space Systems. He is currently working as a vehicle engineering consultant in the Bozen office of V&D Engineering.
He has a 4-years experience in events organization with the local association of aerospace students’, AESA Torino. During this period he helped organize dozens of events, from conferences, attended by thousands of people, to workshops held by students. He wrote some of the space-related articles published on the social page of the association. During the 2018/2019 period he was a member of the Board of Directors of the association. He helped to organize three of the previous editions of ISSC with SGAC.
