Women in Space, experience from a member of the Society of Women in Space Exploration Costa Rica – SWISE CR

To celebrate World Space Week, the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) Nicaragua community in collaboration with SWISE CR have come up with a series of webinars to touch on important regional, global and experiences within the space sector. For each webinar, we will have one speaker presenting a specific topic related to space and also which applies to the situation and region they are based on.
Each webinar will have Q&A sessions for you to learn more about the topic that is being discussed. You can’t miss this opportunity to learn about something new. Join us and learn more about space topics.
Camila is a 19 year old Costa Rican currently studying Microbiology and Clinical
Chemistry. Her academic interests revolve around the biomedical field and she is studying towards the goal of being able to carry out her own research related to the health sciences one day. Right now, she is the spokesperson of the Board of Directors for the Society of Women in Space Exploration Costa Rica (SWISE-CR) and has worked as an English to Spanish translator for several of their activities. Additionally, she has worked as a volunteer for several organizations and institutions, among them TECHO, Hospital Nacional de Niños, Proyecto Daniel and the Ecology Project International in Reserva Pacuare, Limón. In her freetime, she enjoys reading, playing tennis and spending time with her friends and family.
