Meet SG[France]2023 Organizing Team

The SG[France]2023 Organizing Team gathered 18 individuals who exceeded expectations for the 5th edition of France’s local event. With a great mix of students/young professionals from diverse backgrounds in engineering, management, business and law, they passionately worked for 7 months to offer delegates and sponsors an unforgettable space event full of opportunities.

The Team was led by Marie Lambert & Lucille Baudet as Event Managers, supported by the French National Points of Contact Tania Gres & Clara Moriceau, and was composed of Lou Valade, Tristan Knight, Maxime Bardaux, Marceau Brigant and Emeric Villette (Program Team), Chrisy-Solène Raharison and Audrey Lucas (Logistics Team), Lola Dumont-Roche, Guillaume Rousseau, (Communication Team), Clara Banchereau (Communication/Delegates Team) and Morgane Royer (Delegates Team), Estelle Crouzet and Sébastien Lebègue (Sponsors Team), and Paul Bauerlé (Support Team).

SG[France]2023 Organizing Team’s role as part of the SGAC team:

The SG[France]2023 Organizing Team was in charge of planning the 5th SG[France] local event in a row, which took place in Bordeaux in May 2023. This one-day event was thoroughly thought and the team worked to offer delegates and sponsors an event in two parts: the morning session was dedicated to inspirational talks and space panels while the afternoon session focused on 5 working groups tackling current space challenges.
The SG[France]2023 Organizing Team wanted to highlight France’s space opportunities through this local event and allow every student and young professional who wanted to join to benefit from our country’s rich space sector.

SG[France]2023 Organizing Team, share with us your reaction to receiving the nomination:

The SG[France]2023 Organizing Team is honoured by this nomination and wishes to thank everyone that helped make this event a success, including our fantastic delegates and sponsors. We are proud to see our work recognised by the SGAC community and will pursue our own endeavours to continue promoting space and support the next generation.

What learnings have you got for those considering joining SGAC?

We strongly recommend to anybody who has a passion for making a difference in the space sector and a commitment to action to join SGAC and get involved through project groups, events, scholarships and other networking programs.
Even just attending an event can be the start of great friendships, the development of strong network support, and a boost for career opportunities. We all drastically improved our soft skills (leadership, communication, …) these past 7 months and we know SG[France]2023 had a huge impact on some of our delegates who joined SGAC following the event. There is no better place than SGAC to grow, connect to peers, and benefit from a positive and open-minded space community.
