Open Staff positions Space Exploration Project Grou:

PR & Communication (2 positions)

As part of the SEPG Operations team you will control the PR and communications of the Space Exploration Project group. You will manage the social media accounts and find innovative ways of reaching a broad audience of space enthusiasts.

Responsible for:

Manage the SEPG PR & Communications efforts for both internal and external communications.

This includes:

  • Manage our external communication channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn
  • Maintain and update our SEPG website
  • Distribute our monthly newsletter through our mailing list
  • Coordinate with our Membership Coordinators to manage Slack communications and announcements
  • Liaise with our SGAC PR & Communications Team for communication over the primary SGAC channels

Estimate time commitment:

  • 2-3 hours per week

Term duration:

  • Year with possible 1 year extension.

Requirements:

  • SGAC Membership (free registration on the SGAC website required, and aged 18-35 years old during the period of performance)
  • Member of the Space Exploration Project Group at time of installation.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Experience with social media and PR.
  • Mandatory presence at staff meetings (bi-weekly).
  • Creative skills for innovative social media content creation.

Event Coordinator (1 position)

As part of the SEPG Operations team you will control various aspects of events that are organized within the Space Exploration Project Group. You will be responsible for creating events and coordinating teams that will organize these events

Responsible for:

Manage the SEPG event efforts, both in creating and coordinating efforts.

This includes:

  • Create events for the SEPG community to foster networking, education and community building
  • Coordinate these event efforts as well as keep close communication with PR & Communications and MST.

Estimate time commitment:

  • 2-3 hours per week

Term duration:

  • Year with possible 1 year extension.

Requirements:

  • SGAC Membership (free registration on the SGAC website required, and aged 18-35 years old during the period of performance)
  • Member of the Space Exploration Project Group at time of installation.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Affiliation with event organization
  • Mandatory presence at staff meetings (bi-weekly).
  • Creative skills for innovative event organization.
